  1. Given my posting history I'm sure most of you will reflexively say yes. Regardless. Went to BWW tonight with my boys. Ordered 30 wings to share amongst us. Counted the bones and got 28 wings. Nicely brought it to the to the waitress' attention who fixed it. Am I the AH for thinking if I bought 30 of something for more than a dollar each that I should actually receive the number I ordered??

Still, Boston has one superstar, David Pastrnak. I will never call Marchand a superstar. He is the dirtiest pos in the league. He is the king of slew foots and gets away with it 99% of the time somehow. He had one in the 2nd period than somehow went unnoticed. And all of a sudden Linus Ullmark, who couldn't stop a runny nose in Buffalo, looks like Martin Brodeur. My hate for Boston runs deep.

    Don't tell anyone.

You have my solemn 6 beers in on a Friday word. I won't tell a soul.

To be honest I need some of those to district the native deer from my aborviate. Are they invasive?

I still don't get how the Bruins were so good all year. They are good defensively, but nothing else they do is that impressive. The refs have been helping them tonight. Montour gets absolutely tripped and no call. Then the puck goes the other way and they blow the whistle for a garbage call against Florida. And now Ekblad is out. Good luck guys.

Hey, whattya know, a penalty on Boston. Let's go Cats.

I'm rooting for the Bruins because it makes me money and I like to bet on chalk. Other than that Boston can rot in hell.

Well... I don't know about the rest of the fleet, but my Johnson Watch has ended.

My Friday night multi beer brain says Johnson can eat a bag of johnsons at this point. Don't need you bro. Have fun in Arizona or Anaheim with whatever the hell it is that they do. Say hi to Dad.

Him and Jack are really good friends

I’m not really sure what this board’s leanings are re: jack, and his affect on culture, it’s not something I see being talked about very much, so the above may not be a relevant conversion piece for anyone but, thought I might throw that out in case anyone wanted to sink their teeth into it

I don't know what either of them are like IRL. I'd like to think Eichel is a shitheel because it assuages my bereavement but I dunno in actuality if that's true.

Scheifele is terrible defensively. And a locker room issue. We don’t want him trust me

He’s got one year left on a contract that at one time was a steal but he’s now headed for a significant increase in $ to make up for being underpaid relative to his pointz totals for years: so he’s set to be drastically overpaid especially considering he’s never succeeded in rounding out his putrid two way game

He’s actually had his 2 *worst* defensive years the last 2 seasons, and this year he fell (well) below point a game for the first time since 2016. And he turned 30.

    Run

I'll defer to you on the locker room

Wasn’t Scheifele called out by Paul Maurice for that in previous playoffs?

If the peg would like to be rid of Scheifele I'd be happy to take him off their hands.

Regular season vs. playoffs. Is there ANY point of going for a President's trophy at all? Seems like a no.

    Tampa agrees. Worthless trophy.

Did it matter to New Jersey who improved 47 points?

I expect the Sabres will have a 2 year point improvement of the same ilk(probably closer to 35 points)...probably will end next year around where Jersey ended this year.

Devils have now gotten smoked twice on home ice. Maybe the playoffs experience would have helped. Maybe not. All I know is the Rags are kicking them around right now.

Well, new jersey lost pretty bad last night so maybe it did. Lets see if they pull it together or if they crash out like a ln inexperienced team might.

This is key. I mean if they snuck in this year and got spanked 4 straight by Boston without Tage and Muel being able to play would fans be placated because we broke the streak? I’m not happy not getting in but looking at the big picture we are setup to be good for a long time starting next season.

I want deep runs. I don’t want to be the Leafs.

So is the experience not valuable for everyone else? So next year most of them have at least a series under their belts? Or are we off the train that experience in big situations matters?

NJ getting worked by the Rangers.

Does it? Did this season look anything like previous years. They have been building nicely under Adam’s regime. Next year is the start of hopefully a long window

I wasn't actually referring to the Sabres because the Sabres haven't been in that sort of position in a long time. I was actually thinking of the Bills.

Sheldon Keefe should be tarred and feathered in the locker room then rolled out of the arena in a barrel.

Does Sheldon Keefe play on the ice?

You do realize he was skating very fast towards his target, it's not like you can stop on a dime, he was hitting his target regardless. Those types of hits were considered weak back in the 80's 90's.

I'd agree with you, except that's not what happened. He changed directions to put himself in that position. My biggest issue with this is that the league won't allow Dallas to return the favor. If they target Dumba or another Minnesota player in a similar manner it will go to a hearing. Stuff like this is the reason the instigator rule sucks and has always sucked. You want to play like that and take guys out? Fine, defend yourself. Instead what happens is this will happen and then Dumba will ride under league protection.

It was a legal hit and he shouldn't have even gotten the minor.

Hartman, on the other hand, shouldn't have even been playing to score the OT winner after that BS hit on Ehlers and the BS DoPS only giving him one game. Crock of shite.

I hope the Stars take the next 4 straight.

You can't check people that don't have the puck and Dumba didn't turn into Pavelski until after the puck was well gone. Watch his feet. He doesn't turn his feet or change direction until after Pavelski dumps the puck at which point he both turns and then accelerates to initiate the contact with Pavelski. This wasn't an instance of finishing a check or even staying on one's chosen line. He altered his line to initiate a hit after the puck was gone. Interference at minimum. If this happened to a Sabre you all would be up in arms. That's in the same ballpark as Neil on Drury and I don't remember anybody defending Neil at the time.

  15. 14 hours ago, French Collection said:

Pavelski just got destroyed by Dumba, he is groggy getting off. Hit was a bit late and a bit high but what a hit.

That was a bush play, I don't care what the league says. Dumba didn't change directions to make the hit until after the puck was clearly gone and he saw it was gone. Absolute garbage and he deserves a beating, not that the league will allow it.

But there would be someone else in his place. How many would they score? How many goals would someone else score who had his spot on the PP first unit?

So it’s not 28 goals. It’s much less.

Maybe, maybe not. I like that we've come to a place where we can debate it though.
