  1. Blashill would be my #1 too, but unless Babcock stayed in Detroit, we had no chance. He's their next coach.
  2. Not just that, but Toronto needs a LOT more than a part-time GM. That roster and those contracts are a nightmare for even the most experienced GM. Plus, throw in the pressure-cooker that is Toronto, and a losing product on the ice night after night, and how long can Babcock last? If he is indeed Coach/GM.
  3. Murray's a pimp. He never could have out-thought Babcock. But I didn't know until this day that it was Battista all along.
  4. Babcock, Strome, and their band of overpaid losers.
  5. Just click on this. Do it. HA HA HA HA https://twitter.com/PeteBlackburn/status/601074315719798784
  6. They could give the title of GM to Darcy.
  7. If it's 8 million - especially if Pegula was giving him three times what we was making before and had already agreed on a contract - then good for Pegula. Later Babcock, Also, if any Sabres season ticket holders sells their first Sabres - Toronto game ticket to a Toronto fan, you're dead to me. I don't care how much you'd get. That place needs to be full of BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  8. The narrative says power mad and socially awkward Tim Murray names himself head coach with Battista as his lone assistant. Irbe stays as goalie coach. GM&HCTM also coaches the Amerks remotely by drone.
  9. This would be hilarious. But kind of crappy. I like the idea of Babcock exiled in Toronto. He could actually win in St. Louis.
  10. I totally think the Sabres and Babcock had a contract last night and he just said he needed to sleep on it and talk it over with his family and it was just between signing the contract or staying in Detroit. Then the Leafs called Babcock and Babcock basically broke his word and the Sabres were like F you. If that was the case then I DEFINITELY don't want him.
  11. Well you'll be blaming Tim Murray no matter what even if they reveal everything.
  12. Seriously - that team is a disaster and years away from winning. Plus, they don't even have a GM. Honestly, if the Sabres and Babcock pretty much had a contract in place, and he was deciding between taking the contract from the Sabres or staying in Detroit, and then Toronto came out of nowhere and kept trying to drive up the price, then if the Sabres just walked away they did the right thing. That's pretty crappy if Babcock told them last night it's between staying in Detroit where his family is happy or going to the Sabres, and then tried to use Toronto. What if Babcock called the Sabres bluff and they told him "Fine. Bye." Now he's stuck in Toronto.
  13. Is this pretty much your hope in every post, for every situation?
  14. I have an enormous amount of respect for Dreger and he's one of my favorites - but I'm not buying this. I think there is an announcement for the Sabres today.
  15. These are my thoughts exactly. Except the crack on tennis. I like watching tennis. Women's tennis, specifically. And it's also because of the long volleys.
  16. Yup! That was a good goal too.
  17. I agree, but right now the Sabres are starting to have more forward depth than defensive depth. We don't know what the summer will hold for free agent pickups, but we remember what happened against the stupid Hurricanes when we had a rash of defensive injuries.
  18. Triple OT. Whoo hoo! I just CAN'T imagine if the Sabres were playing in this game. It's been a while. That Sabres - Devils game with Hasek and Brodeur that Hannan managed to end is one of the most intense games I've ever watched.
  19. That's what I'm thinking. What if it isn't illegal? They would have had to check the rulebook in Toronto, right? I looked. There is nothing. http://www.nhl.com/nhl/en/v3/ext/rules/2014-2015-rulebook.pdf Sorry - found it. It's illegal. 78.5 Disallowed Goals – Apparent goals shall be disallowed by the Referee and the appropriate announcement made by the Public Address Announcer for the following reasons: (i) When the puck has been directed, batted or thrown into the net by an attacking player other than with a stick.
  20. Is that a rule? Headbutting the puck? I never heard of it but is it against the rules? It should be, but is it?
  21. Two many men. Crazy. Chicago already killed off their penalty. But this could be huge.
  22. I am not sure why anyone wants to get rid of Psysk so easily. If it wasn't for the Tank he'd have been up with the Sabres and logging big minutes the last two seasons. He's going to be a rock when we're really good.
