  1. MacTavish commented after the lottery that you have to outscore your opponent to win games.

Back to the Oilers of old, fire wagon hockey!

Not working for them now, but add McDavid and it may work. Win a Cup and then the copycats come out of the woodwork and we're back to 3.14 goals against average winning the Vezina.

Doubt it but never say never.

  2. Media is making too much out of TM disappointment, he stated earlier that he would prefer #1 to be in control, which he likes. He's been preparing for weeks to probably get Eichel. He doesn't like the spotlight and the PR work, especially after this punch to the gut.

Zero *#€~%^s given about the league's lottery and show, but he cares about Jack.

  3. 1,5,11,12 which is sequence #197 at NHL.com.

#1 and #97 are perfect for Connor.

#1 again and combined with 5 give us '15.

#11 ties into Perreault and previous Sabres luck.

#12 is how many times McDavid will be an NHL all star.t

    It's one in thousand.

  4. Thanks for the updates. He is better suited for centre due to his puck distribution skills. He also is sound positionally and plays all 200 feet when I have watched him. His right handed shot sets up well for a left winger like Kane. I hope we get McDavid for the obvious reasons but also to give us a left/right combo at centre.

  5. When our team is a contender again he's a 3rd line winger who can take draws, and be on a PK unit. He can move into a top six role when injuries occur. On a championship team he centers the 4th line, similar to Greg Campbell's role on the Bruins Cup team. A 4th line on a team like that gets decent ice time and are not a liability, unlike our 4th lines of the past few years.

  6. In a few months, Stafford will sign elsewhere for a five year deal as a top six RW and he will frustrate that team with streaks of inconsistency yet score 24 goals. He will have helped Winnipeg's playoff push but is one asset gone.

Myers will stay at his current level and be a decent #3D but never be a "tough" shut down D.

Armia may never make the next step and be an emergency call up for a few years and return to Finland for 2017.

Lemieux can break through as a 3rd or 4th line grinder with a scoring touch, but some tough guys will want to shut his yap and may knock him down a peg.

Draft pick is a wait and see, but Cheveldayoff has done well in recent years.

Kane can shut everybody up with a 30 goal season and some grit.

Bogo is our tough shut down D.

Kasdorf will probably fade away after a stint in Rochester.
