That was emotion? He used every cliche there to escape any accountability. As much as the fans want the players to set the tone, you can't blame them for continually putting Sobotka, Girgensons, Scandella, and Thompson in the lineup every night. We want Eichel to be a leader in the Peca/Drury mode, but those guys never had to deal with the lineup that Jack is dealing with every game.

That was a total waste of 2 and a half hours.

Great players in all sports hate to lose more than they love to win. That's a trait that the majority of athletes don't have. To have a successful team, the coach has to make those players hate to lose. Housley never had that trait as a player, and he has no ability to teach his team to hate to lose.

Gotta give credit to Dahlin for playing hard and to Sobotka for stealing another game check.

Nice to see the 25 year veteran step up in the absence of Eichel. Dahlin is playing a good game though.

They have like 4 legit NHL players on the team. I don't think firing the guy who built the team and the guy who runs it would be that bad of a thing.

He's not NHL ready. A year in the minors would have helped him like a year in junior helped Reinhart. 10 goals this year shows he's not ready to be an NHL scorer. 11 assists show that he's not ready to be a playmaker. I don't think it's a given he makes a leap next season.

Thompson and Mittelstadt look more and more like busts every game too. Botterill needs to be held accountable for not letting these guys develop in Rochester.

They need 3 more points to get 10 more than last season. I doubt they do this. They can fire both Botterill and Housley at this point and it won't matter. These two guys bring absolutely nothing to the organization.

These guys are barely a team right now.

This team lacks defensive zone coverage fundamentals. It comes from their last two coaches emphasizing the transition game. That's why they get caved in so easily. When they get pressured they instinctually start chasing the puck instead of being conditioned to return to the basics of positional play.
