  4. I hate that rule. As a dman, it is a no win situation. Used to be you could engage until someone got possession.

  11. Too much gliding...move your feet boys!
  12. The USA needs to finish more checks in the neutral zone. They are letting Russia stand up on the boards without paying for it.

  17. Dont worry you'll get your game back next week and as a bonus we will get to hear Milbury tell us how much our team sucks. Lol.
  18. The USA needs to leverage their speed. Dump and chase wont work with the Russian d playing so far inside their line. They need to use the open ice on the sides to generate speed races that I think we can win.
  19. I think it requires better skating defensemen and centers that back check. The Russians are backchecking well.
  20. I am too. Great players in space is entertaining. Bs call.
  21. My apologies to d4rk, and those who were offended. I took umbrage to his reply to my post insinuating that his line of thinking was unassailable and those who did not agree were being obtuse. I think the number of posts in this thread would indicate that consensus is not going to happen.
  22. No your arguments are circular because your mind is feeble. You arrogantly throw around your opinions as facts and when they are exposed you double down. You assume he will fail and therefore to you it is fact. The other equally valid possibility is that he learns from the challenge and the caliber of coaching available in the NHL. If we are both in agreement that winning now is not important, then developing a prospect with the best resources availableshould be the coaching staff's top priority. Building a culture of lunch pail heroes is assinine in a league where talent wins.
  23. You argue in circles. I agree you need to develop players. No better place than on a last place club. Is the coaching better in the Q? Is the competition? My point is if Nolan is such a great motivator, then having him motivate and teach should be priority one. You may not win, but that is irrelevant until after the McDavid Eichel sweepstakes.
  24. He is winning meaningless games with perenial 4th liners instead of developing day in and day out the youngsters. Nolan is looking to secure a job, and no one can blame him. But the rebuild will only work if the talented players develop into stars, not if the marginal players over achieve.
