I agree with you, just wish it was on TV, or even viewable on the web.

I'm an equal Bills and Sabres fan, but....while the happenings with the Bills lately have everyone elated, I kinda need a break from the Bills. I'm happy for everything going on, but I'm on Bills overload now.

hockeystreams.com. they are advertising that it will bee available. I used this last season.
  2. Bobby Orr. Changed how the position was perceived. Also I think you have to put Bossy on the list. Extending the list gets to my point. I don't think hype determines who is a generational but who impacts the game during his generation. So that might mean that being hyped or the top pick is not necessary to be considered generational. Prospect yes. Player no as much. Hasek is an example.

  3. I've never been to Chicago but am pretty sure I would like it.

When I lived in NYC I didn't have a car. I wonder if any of the other cities mentioned have as much to offer to the carless. FTR, I really liked Seattle.

I lived in Chicago without a car for 3 years. A isn't a necessity. I have since moved to Evanston where you could get by but it is tougher. Commuting for me is a 5 minute walk and a 25 minute train ride.

In one of the other threads someone posted a statement from Murray saying LA is the model. If true, sign me up. That is a brand of hockey I like.

  4. It's not a question of what Ott can teach them from a talent perspective.

But he can teach and preach volumes on "hockey character" and what it means to be a pro on and off the ice. This facet of veteran leadership on a young team cannot be overstated.

    GO BILLS!!!

I get that but I would rather have Dave Bolland, if healthy. Same type of player, maybe more post season success.
  5. This is not a provocation but rather a sincere inquiry. Wtf is this obsession with a journeyman like Ott? We have 10 picks in the first two rounds over the next two tears. That kind of talent won't learn anything from Ott or Callahan for that matter. Hossa? Jagr? Iginla? Perhaps. But Ott is a fourth line player on his best day. Is he likeable, sure. But I want to shoot higher than modeling a team around grinders like Ott.

Daigle is still the only good example. I said first overall picks. Generational talents don't go 2nd and 4th...

Malkin is pretty good. Tires as well. Sorry he was 3.

Much closer. But Eichel still isn't a generational talent.

Eichel reminds me of Modano. He was pretty good. Generational, idk hofer yes.

What is unbelievable about it. We just completed one of the worse seasons in NHL history. If this was 2015 we would have fans in utter disbelief right now. Put together the best damn team possible and play hockey. Whatever happens happens. Enough of this draft lottery crap.

And you do that how? Oh yeah over pay for 3rd liners like Ott, make him the C, and all your worries are over. We need more talent and we won't get enough through fa.
  8. It will be tied to tv. Florida doesn't fill the building even when they are winning. The Canes same deal. The Canadian market poses a problem for some brands due to licensing issues. Having LA NY, Chi Bos, Ana Wash will help the league compete with the NBA and MLB come June. Fla Van in the finals might not even get an agit in Chicago.

  9. I can understand that. He would have been so awesome in Buffalo blue and gold. Hopefully, the hockey gods can finally give some pittance to Buffalo and get McDavid here. I would settle on Eichel, but the better talent please! One of the NHL.com mocks has Ehlers falling all the way to Detroit. That would irk me. It would be another really talented winger, to fall to them like Mantha (who I loved in his draft class).

For some reason I see the league, and in particular Bettman, figuring out a way to get McDavid and Eichel to a big market American team. Buffalo being good serves no purpose for the league. Picture late June 2019 with the Sabres squaring off against Phoenix in the finals. I'm sure ratings would be off the charts!
  10. I don't care if he scores 100 goals in 50 games in the ROC, I don't want to see him in a Sabres jersey until 2015-16 at the earliest.

BS flag. If he has 100 in 50 next year while Leino is looking for his first you'll be lighting the torches and sharpening the pitchforks to storm bc arena and drag him to the fnc. I do agree that he needs some time but we are beyond the point of worrying about damaging him. If he shows the goods by xmas he comes up.
