Do we make the playoffs if Adams gets Kane?

Not a chance. He plays well for two games. Then gets Ellis/Granatoed and we all end up complaining about his compete level and lack of accountability. The PP stays garbage and he only scores meaningless points after games are well-decided.

Then, 15 games in, he needs to resurface his hip again.

  2. This was my run-it-back lineup from another thread and I'm sticking to it. There should be 2 UFAs (or acquisitions via trade) in the bottom 6. But... don't expect it.

    Peterka - Thompson - Tuch
    Benson - Cozens - Quinn
    Skinner - UFA 3C (Savoie) - Greenway
    Girgensons - Krebs - UFA 4W (Kulich)
    (Rousek)

    Power - Dahlin
    Byram - Jokiharju
    Samuelsson - Clifton
    (Johnson)

    Luukkonen
    Levi

Detroit and Sabres latest rebuild are good ones to compare.

Yzerman doing draft and develop plus bringing in veterans (Husso, Compher, Copp, Perron, Fabbri, Sprong, Kane, DeBrincat, Czarnik, Ghostisbehere, Petry  …)

Adam’s brought in Greenway, Clifton, a bunch of $780k JAGS, and a few really old guys.

It still may not work for the Red Wings this season, but at least Yzerman has legitimately tried.

And I must note, Yzerman had the courage to trade away an excellent Hronek. It was a fantastic deal for the Canucks to get a top-pair partner for Quinn. The Wings needed ice time for Edvinsson and they needed money to go address the holes up front (Compher).

TNT discussing Power's contract and game. Power will never justify the contract points-wise because of Dahlin. Power could become great, but other comparable paid D will be on their team's PP1.

I assure you, the great ones are certainly not a dime a dozen. That said, a great QB can certainly turn average into good and good into really good.

He’s a packers fan, right? They definitely had their run of receivers who were made much better by the QBs.

And the Bills have the QB who can do exactly that. Draft a couple WRs on day 2 and watch Allen make them into household names come playoff time.

Yes, Packers fan. And I want the Bills to stop being the Vikings of the AFC. Over the last 30 seasons, the Vikings have loved drafting perimeter players in the 1st instead of OL and front seven D, including the greatest WR ever not named Jerry Rice and one of the best WRs I've seen in Jefferson. And they have nothing to show for it because they don't ever have the QB. (Caveat: This year will be fun because they're drafting a QB who will have an amazing set of weapons... but history says they'll pick the wrong QB. And they're going to pay JJ like a QB instead of filling out the rest of the roster's depth like the Seahawks did on their rookie QB contract team.)

  5. As a lefty, I feel lost if I try to shoot right-handed with a stick (lacrosse, hockey).
I bat left though I dabbled as a switch. But golfing, shooting a basketball, kicking/punting have to be righty, which probably has more to do with how I was taught than feel.

Edit: Of course, having my right hand cut off and replaced by a cyborg component has caused much confusion.
