  1. Tuch is a nice guy. He could've ridden and driven that guy right into the glass dasher. He didn't.
  2. SJ announcers made a great statement at the end of the period. Because of the COVID protocols (similar to our broadcast team), they'd not been traveling for a couple seasons. The last time they saw Dahlin in person was a home and home in October 2019. They're amazed.
  3. How about with, VO, Mitts, and Jost as their forwards and UPL as the goalie?
  4. The pass from Cozens that got out of the offensive zone... it was just a decoy! Krebs and Jost have fully switched lines now.
  5. Let Mitts, VO, or Krebs do it. They're the 4th line.
  6. The SJ broadcast mentioned it. They've asked around, all the former-player broadcasters and such ... none of them understand it. Maybe just that hitting is becoming a forgotten art, and planned fights are gone, so this is the only way to try to start one.
  7. More of a Zhitnik cross-ice slide. Though Zhitnik would've made it a full-on hip check.
  8. Dahlin takes away space, all the way away the space. Lovely. (But I'd better not come back from commercial to find the Sharks with a PP after the whistles.)
  9. And battled all the way past the whistle against a 6'2" 210# Gadjovich at the net front.
  10. And that is what a weak glove hand looks like.
  11. VO has to hack that out of the zone, not try to deflect it out of the zone.
  12. Skinner is going to get one of these to go in.
  13. All too easy. The feint by Cozens to shoot then pass back off his back hip to Dahlin to switch sides... no chance for an AHL-level Dell.
  14. Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Pegulas the Tank?
  15. Boushh needs to start facing up to shooters when attempting his shot blocks. He's missed multiple games on 2 occasions now after blocking shots with the side of his foot/ankle/leg. Or... start wearing shin guards facing in all directions.
  16. Follow-up but in the shorter-term: How is Rousek's board battling and speed/forechecking looking? In preseason I thought he looked the closest to getting a bottom-6 injury call-up. Would that still be the case or is someone else more deserving?
  17. Certainly. The silver lining is that if the offense keeps this up, they'll storm through SJ, CLB, the PIT home and home, and LA before a rematch with Colorado. Beat the bads, try to stay even with the goods. That's where we're at.
  18. Arizona is trying to lose, but they're not running away with it. Would they move Vejmelka for a 2nd + ... Mitts?
  19. I... I fail to see the penalty there. What was the call?
  20. Colorado is going to blow a 2-goal lead against us. I can feel it.
  21. Certainly a bit, but he wasn't chopped liver. And although it wasn't a GMTM pick, it's the old "draft a big Swedish Scandinavian guy" and give him 5 years and see what you get. Sometimes it's an Ullmark, sometimes it's a Johansson, sometimes it's Lehner, or a UPL.
  22. I mean... the Sabres have been the better team 5-on-5 by far. If we can just avoid any more trips to the box, we'll be able to get out this. Ok --- I jinxed Power on that one. My bad. mistake. He's an old friend of mine.
