He’s going to be a UFA with 32 NHL teams to choose from. There are a million reasons why a UFA would choose one of the other 31 teams.
I can’t speak for the other pessimists, and I don’t think this means the franchise is doomed, but I don’t see how anyone could interpret this as anything other than the Sabres probably losing a very good prospect. No more, no less.
Agreed. Plus, take a look behind at Levi. He knows his road is tougher here than somewhere else.

He's gonna take 2-3 years to develop, just keep that in mind.

it was a joke, although defending Toronto's or TB's offenses is no easy task either.
Fair enough

And for your first trick you get to draw into the lineup against Barkov Huberdeau and the rest of the East leading Florida Panthers. No problem. Go get’m tiger.
He's not playing tonight that would be absurd. Either Tampa Sunday or Toronto next. Not that either offer an easier first game.

SO do we try to convince Power to PTO with Rochester and then sign 3 years on ELC to avoid him coming up with Dahlin, Jokiharju, and Mitts contracts?
@nfreeman tweet he linked sounds like he burns his ELC no matter what because of his age.

He's also just coming back from an injury lol (talking Eichel here so there's his name)

Power reminds me a lot of early Dahlin. The offense is there, the defense is just a lot of reaching with the stock and sun-par board play. Nice to have Dahlin show him how to improve on that.

Portillo keeps giving up juicy rebounds. Power needs to hit someone.
He does need to get more physical/better on the boards. Nothing some NHL strength conditioning can't fix though.

Michigan is getting crushed.
Eh I disagree. Early they were on their heels but they took it to Denver at the end there.

Hughes blew that, bad defense there leads to Denver's first goal

Better than 16 though

Car shopping. I don't want to lease again but buying used right now seems like a bad idea. So either a buy new or lease I suppose, no idea which one is the better decision.

I know we put this to bed till next year but, as people seem to be back on the bandwagon, I do have four tickets for Flyers game, Saturday April 16th.(day before Easter)
Thanks Tom. Can't swing it personally but would love to bring it back for next year.

10-4-3 since March 1st, that's a 110 point pace over a full season.

No he isn't.
Reinhart: 36g, 105pts, 60 games, 1.75ppg
Wright: 28g, 84pts, 58 games, 1.45ppg
Vindication!

I don’t think that is the general consensus opinion.
7 hours ago, sabresparaavida said:Wright is pacing for 20 more points in his draft year than Reinhart did. And that is in the OHL, regarded as slightly tougher than the WHL. And that is also after a year off because of Covid. Wright was given exceptional status, When he was 15, I think he is the more regarded prospect than Reinhart was.
Looks like I had that wrong, thanks for the info

I'm pretty sure Reinhart was a way better prospect that Wright

i thought I detected something from Adams in his no comment to Marek this morning.
Disappointing, but organizationally it works to sign Portillo this year and Devon next.
Unfortunate we will have to listen to the Chicken Littles bleat another year about him bolting.
It's disappointing IMO because it just wastes a year of his development and prolongs his arrival. College hockey offers nothing to his pro future

I think @WildCard meant that Gilmore is suited to a man-to-man defense and the Bills' defense is a zone sort of thing.
Yeah, I don't think he's a scheme or culture fit ultimately. Even if you wanna ignore the history it's whatever but he really just doesn't play out system and we can find something cheaper.

How much would it cost to add Stephan Gilmore to the roster and can Beane work some magic to get it done?
He plays man, we don't. He also hated being here and wasn't exactly quite about it. I'll pass.

Ik it's one period but come on you gotta love this team right now. There's effort, creativity, passion and youth for years to come.

Expect the boys to bounce back after a drubbing in Florida, Owen's debut, and against the hated Leafs. Gonna be a great one to watch.
