There's a housing shortage, plus interest rates are increasing, idk if materials being cheaper by the fraction they'll go down will offset that
Yeah I can't say for certain. Definitely doesn't help that big investment firms are buying single family homes to use as rentals now either.

Of houses? I believe it. I think there's a chance we can build cheaper than right now a few years down the line. Then again, I don't know anything about anything
Building cheaper is probable simply because the cost of materials is so high right now.

They're still an absolute mess defending in the neutral and d-zones, and until that changes, they won't be making the playoffs any time soon.
Can Granato implement a disciplined defensive system when needed? Haven't seen any improvement in that area. Is that because he hasn't emphasized that aspect of the game yet? Or is he just not capable?
Ton of young guys and bad d-men could be it.

DG does 2 things well...
Players as individuals are developing.
His team doesn't quit.
That's great for a young team... but I don't believe he's capable of coaching them to the playoffs.
To the playoffs and deep into them are quite different. Granato is certainly capable of having a talented Sabres team be better than half the league.

I don't think this team is as close/resilient if Eichel is here, no. And with that I don't think the confidence and growth you see in Dahlin exists either. Eichel is a phenomenal player but the stench of losing and turmoil in Buffalo for so long was stapled to him and the only way to shed it was move him.

I have a feeling it’s coming down to Levi wants to burn a year off His ELC and get some games in Buffalo, while Adams wants Him in Rochester on an ATO to preserve the year
Probably. But is Levi willing to go back to NE and wait another year for the NHL? At least if he goes to the AHL he takes the next step in his career; better competition, opportunity for the NHL, closer to a large contract, gets to make some money. I just don't see why he'd go back when's he's clearly outgrown the college level and to a NE team that may be good but isn't going to win it all.

Pfft try 90k, I'm living right next to Golisano

The best thing about this team right now is how much better they can be.
I cannot wait to get Levi, Power, Peterka, and Quinn up here. Not too mention all of the other prospects we have to fill in the gaps that are doing great right now

You're in Rochester aren't you? We are basically looking in no-man's-land, in a circle east of batavia, south of Le Roy, west of geneseo, and north of Warsaw, including within those towns
Yeah pretty much right in the heart of the city, if you're looking out that way hopefully you won't have as bad as a market. We did have to go over asking though and wave the inspection too; got very lucky though first one we put an offer in on actually. Hopefully you guys find some similar luck 🍻

They are awful in almost every way imaginable.
Well they did eventually acknowledge the game...showed the Thompson goal with zero mention of the comeback or anything else lol what a joke

How long before they figure it out?
Probably won't. Was hoping we'd get on with this game but guess not

ESPN just showed the Toews goal on the top 10 and ended it with 'Blackhawks would go on to win'...

What a win for the young guys. This is huge for them

Also, power is good but we want him to force his way past Samuelsson. Might take a season
Yeah he's definitely gonna need some time to develop. Thankfully he shouldn't have the rough transition Dahlin was forced into i.e. team and coaching dynamics

Thank you. I knew someone had introduced the idea.
I think 3rd line center with some gritty scoring wingers would fit him well
Maybe. I see him as a 1-2C personally

You made me smile.
What you're seeing is called depth, it's been so long. Yes I'm some ways Samuelsson is wasted but injuries and game flow, he'll get minutes.
Makes sense, and yeah I tend to agree.
Feels good to actually be watching them again🍻

I think it's been discussed by Meatballs previously.
Long term some of the guys playing wing are penciled in at C.
Makes sense and is probably the case. With Thompson surpassing all expectations and Cozens there Krebs foreseeable future seems 2nd line wing or 3rd line center though

I really, really would resist moving Samuelsson unless I am getting someone comparable back.
I'm not a fan of it either but otherwise one of Dahlin/Power/Mattias flip to the right
1 minute ago, LGR4GM said:Yes but there's 3 spots
Really we can carry 4 lhd
Right, sure we can. But my point is Samuelson seems wasted on the 3rd pairing, so what do we do with him? Do we just use him there or try and leverage what could be a 1-2 line pairing d-man to fill another area of need

Just now, LGR4GM said:
Wait, why's Sammy the odd man out?
Obviously not a given but Dahlin/Power gotta figure they trump Mattias

Just now, LGR4GM said:
He can but we'll need rhd due to shot angles and the like.
Idk
I'd rather not trade any of them but so far Sameulson is the odd man out and he seems better than a 3rd pairing. Either one of them flip to the right or we move Samuelson

He shoots left, like the other 5 defenders we have
Brings up the question again of what to do with all of these LHD we have.
Can we reach .500?

67 games played, 15 left, 24-33-10 currently. That means we'd have to go 11-2-2, 12-3, or some other similar combination.
I don't think it's likely but maybe instead...how close can we get?
