Would expect Minnesota and Anaheim to be interested. I don't like Roy and whatnot, but I don't deny that he's talented.
@JSportsnet: Thomas Vanek is not dressing tonight in Winnipeg. #hockeycentral
@DennisTFP: Kings : Buffalo sticking to guns on Toffoli. Gaborik audition a flop in Toronto. 3rd option Cammalleri now discussed, could be larger deal
If Vanek isn't dressing, then we can assume he's being traded, and if Buffalo and the Kings are still having talks concerning Toffoli, I'd assume that means Vanek isn't headed to LA. Lots of assumptions, but what the hell

BREAKING: #mnwild acquires Ilya Bryzgalov from @EdmontonOilers for 4th-rd pick. More: ow.ly/uewe2 pic.twitter.com/pRtkuCc4VX
Well no Halak to Minnesota.
I'm guessing this was a lot more cheaper than Halak was.
So, who else needs a goalie? Washington?
-
So the Ducks are unloading a ton, any idea what they're getting in return yet?
I'm sure Penner is going to be thrilled about that move. He lives in South California full time I believe. He won't do much for Washington.
Just what Washington needs, more inconsistent and unhappy forwards

Top 8 in the league or the West? Because if you mean the league, I will take that bet.
Besides Boston and Pitt it's the same thing :P

Enroth may be small, but ###### he is quick. He can really makes saves on the fly when things break down too, just has a natural sense of what to do when things go haywire. I think if anything Enroth usually gets beat on screen shots/ even open shots because he's small, but he can usually handle his own when things are close around the net

Sure. But look at their GMs. C'mon, just look at them.
 you've been on a roll lately

FWIW, the Sabres still only have one first round pick this year.
True, I was going along the supposition that we'd get one more from the deadline and another from the Blues. Having 10% of the 1st round would be nuts
-
yet*you mean we don't have every pick in the 1st round ??......
-
And with the first round of the 2014 NHL draft the buffalo sabres select...

How about we trade Moulson to LA and get Valentin Zykov back as part of the deal. There is a big skilled winger for you.
He's probably the more reasonable option (I'd be really surprised if Detroit was willing to part with Mantha), but any deal with LA I want either Toffoli or Martin Jones coming back. They're just starting to heat up, and the only thing holding them back is a little offensive help. I think we can get them to overpay for Moulson
-
I should say I am not in favor of trading Ehrhoff. He brings us the only semblance of competence on the back end. Myers still worries. I'd rather Ehrhoff remain.
Give me Mantha in any deal for Ehrhoff.
I also don't want to move Ehrhoff or Myers, but if you blow TM away then he should and would consider it.
I wouldn't be thrilled with moving Ehroff, but you're right: if the return is right move him. LGR4GM is right though, if we move Ehroff we have nothing remotely comparable to a consistently functional NHL d-man, and if we move him and Tallinder, we don't really have anyone to help guide the new group of young d-men. So if we move Ehroff, I'd want some sort of veteran d-man coming back, and looking at Detroit's d-core, that's not something they have a lot of. The only real option that Detroit would part with who could fill in Ehroff's role on this team would be Ericsson IMO. He's more expensive than Ehroff, and not as productive, so I'd think Detroit might be willing to move him.
I'm with you Tank, Mantha is putting up some real nice numbers in the Q this year, and we desperately need some wingers in our farm system.

Man this is weird.
Yeah....I bet there's a lot of younger forum members who've never known any else as the primary Sabres goalie except Ryan Miller.
As one of the younger members, this is actually a little surreal. I keep getting this feeling that this is temporary, that we just kind of loaned him for a season
-
Don't tell them that they got drunk and had a bar fight, PLF kicked Sawyer in the nuts, and Pegula landed a beer bottle right on LaFontaine's crown, before Ted Nolan busted through the door and socked Terry right in the gut, making Tim Murray laugh so hard he had to give Nolan a contract.
This is great, I picture him just kicking down a double door, standing they looking at what's happening, and just rushing over and punching TP right in the stomach.
Haven't had a signature on here yet, this seems like the perfect thing to fix that
-
Given the talk on the "Increasingly Substantiated" thread about a possible deal with Ottawa, as well as Murray's comments on WGR from Toronto yesterday, if they are accurate, then this seems like a resignation based on the trades Murray made/ will make rather than Nolan.
All in all, my initial reaction is PLF is behaving really poorly. I'd much rather Murray in there, unrestricted, than pamper to PLF's needs all the time
-
Nothing to back this up, but any chance it could be Craig Patrick upset with Murray? He's supposed to guide his prodigy, but Murray doesn't really seem like he wants another uncle Bryan hanging around him
-
Which is why you move him now....
He's had a history of being fragile. Let some other team play out the risk/reward scenario. We are lucky he is back from the abyss. Be happy if he has real value, because 3 months ago his contract probably made him close to untradeable.
Remember....Murray is like a consultant coming into a company at this point. These aren't his guys, and unless he loved someone before he got here, the most efficient move is for him to maximize value and acquire players or picks that will turn into players that HE loves. It's time to convert into Murray Currency....
From his words about who he drafts, something along the lines of his love for agile, mobile defensmen, a-la Karlsson, Myers would be one of his favorite kind of d-men
-
So, before we get overboard with Senators trade proposal, can we all assume right now that Lazar won't be coming here? Realistically, to get him we'd have to give up something like Moulson and one of our 1st round picks
-
Stewart's wearing #80, sounds temporary to me.
I've seen this reiterated a few times on here; sorry, but why does this indicate he's temporary?
-
Hey, I made that image! Years ago, it seems.
Anyway, I'm officially over it now. Build me a Stanley Cup winning Sabres, please. Thanks.
I'm going to go smoke a bowl and have a piece of pie. Who's with me?
Way ahead of you

I've always had a soft spot for the Blues, they've been terrible lately(prior to Hitchcock) and they haven't won a cup, so adding Miller makes them my team to root for come the playoffs. Plus, with the draft pick coming in 2015, them winning the cup this year doesn't hurt us at all.
That was one the saddest moment I've seen as a fan since the 06 playoffs loss, granted I haven't been around that long, but that was still pretty emotional for Miller. It's nice to see how much this city means to the players, whether they've been here for 12 years or 2.
-
I never thought Allen was going to be a part of this deal, but I'm kind of disappointed we didn't get Ratti though
I'm calling it right now, I feel very, very confident that St.Louis 2015 1st round pick will be used in a package with one of our other players. Maybe in compensation if we take their first rounder and a better prospect or something along those lines
-
Rick"s on 20th century time.
That's the best profile picture I've ever seen on here, +1
-
The outcome of this trade will depend on whether or not Ott really wants to come back. Period.
That, and what they do with Halak, Stewart, at this deadline and what they do with the 2015 1st rounder.

Really? I've never heard of someone sitting a game to work out a contract
