Yes. If you fire Ruff they instanly become a playoff team. The talent is there he just doesnt get it out of them every night. Theres no way Buffalo should move any of our young players. No trade of prospects and or young players make any sense at this point as they are dead in the water at this point. Theyd be better of trading an older vet like Pomminstein than they would Ennis. Have you ever seen any team rebuild by trading young players? Cause I havent in the 30+ years ive been watching hockey. Me too. I was thinking about how it must be to be a Cubs fan and realized I do know what its like. If you add up Bills and Sabres seasons without a championship and were right there with them. Neither team is close and it is driving me away as a fan. After 35 years of being a fanatic (never missing a game) im now just a casual fan and could care less If I even watch the games. My 9 year old son started a Bills fan but now is a Falcons fan and hes starting to not like the Sabres anymore either. Another season like this and I think it will be hard to keep him interested. Not sure why all of Sabre Nation can see this except the people in charge.

As for O'Reilly he scored 18 goals for the Avs in a contract year that probably translates into 12- 14 playing for the Sabres coached by Lindy. All that for 5 million a year and having to give up a decent prospect to get him = no thank you.

Yeah I love the idea of trading for 22 year old kid (who hasnt proved anything) and then giving him 5 million a year. Nothing bad can come of that now can it (see Tyler Myers).

"I saw a lot of older guys get driven out of there. You look at [Doug Gilmour and Dave Andreychuk], guys that came here with a lot of expectations and great attitudes, leaving miserable and not liking the game.
