I think he gets another season to prove himself. Less than 30 games after being (clearly) seriously injured isn't enough to come to a conclusion. We can use the buyout in 2014 summer if we want

I dunno, LA really shouldn't be considered elite. They won the cup because they got hot at the right time. But 2 seasons ago they were 7th, last season they were 8th and currently they are 11th. They are not an amazing team in my eyes. Similarly NJD don't really have much elite talent - they have Kovalchuck and they used to have Parise (Brodeur is too old to be a force anymore)

I'd imagine everyone except Kaleta, Ott and maybe Gerbe I think he is calling out most of the players. The leadership group has little control over how hard players try - that is down to the individual. Personal responsibility exists. Not everything is the fault of the GM/coach/leadership

I dunno, I'm just not that impressed with him. He has been a plus player mainly because Ehrhoff is his D-partner. I really think the ones I named have been better players than he has. I also think neither has under performed this season really. But I guess people notice different things

Totally agree. I think he stick handles because he knows if he passes to Ennis he won't get to touch the puck until the next shift

Blargh. So basically nothing would change :P Foligno should be on the third line. Stafford should improve or ###### off. Porter didn't do much to impress me really - Tropp would be a good 4th liner, and another couple players like him would make it a dangerous hitting line. Girgenson will not be up next year. Armia can slot in Stafford's place Vanek - Coho - Pommers Ennis - vet centre - Ott/Armia Foligno - Grigo - Ott/Leino someone - someone - Tropp

I would think BS. They are a young team and so won't compete for a while. Although maybe they want vet leadership for their young players. Also, although Pommers has a nice contract, he is still expensive. I don't really see the Sabres gaining anything by trading Pommers/Vanek/Miller, unless it is for a boat load, or the players have told them there is a 0% chance they resign in 2 years

Pommers was 8th in the league in RW scoring last season and plays on our top PK unit and is defensively responsible. And he is only 30. That is a high priced proven commodity

if we trade Myers, I would want it to be a Pronger for Shanny style trade. O'Reilly is not a shanny. So I would hope it would be Myers for O'Reilly and a first this year + (a lot) extra. Although I would still keep hold of Myers, see how he fairs under this new coach. I think RR might be the perfect fit for Myers. I really like his cerebral approach
