  1. He won that battle. That was a scary shift until that moment though, eh?
  2. Risto knew it was a 3 on 1 if he didn't do that. Our defensemen have had some bad pinches lately.
  3. If both Florida D were back, they all would have peeled off.
  4. Good save from Linus on a muffin. You can tell our guys are worn out. They aren't going to lay down though.
  5. I can't believe a Sabre has hit 20 goals already.
  6. Idk if this is a popular opinion, but I think the Panthers' jerseys and logo are very very good
  7. Fair play to get the puck on net, but would have been neat for Nelson to do something more there.
  8. Pilut with some shakiness, and a nice pass on his first shift.
  9. Dammit Phil, you've been making it so hard to find things to complain about Sonya gonna toss Eichel
  10. Here's to hoping that 72-37-21 continues to solidify itself as a legitimate line you can depend on for ES scoring. What wonders that would do for our lineup.
  11. Well that's not the checking line over/under on 3rd line shot shares at 33.5% There is no forward combination on this team with worse metrics than 10-17 FWIW
  12. Sam had his two goal night last night. It's Jack's turn
  13. Freddy Andersen has been outstanding, FWIW. And don't sleep on Rielly. But yeah, it's fun how opposite we are. It's also fun that we tend to beat them whether we're good or bad. Our hatred of them is fun and exciting. When I read their fans' takes, the hatred of Buffalo has a lot of bitterness/resentment/exasperation in it. Not necessarily because they think we're better (certainly haven't been the last two years) but because we're always a thorn in their side if not an immovable wall.
  14. We're building a kind of inverse-Toronto, who has Willy (heh) and Marner, passers on the wing who transition the puck and carry play, and feed Tavares/Kadri/Matthews, centers who CAN do that stuff but who are much better at driving the net and popping in goals. The way we're doing it is far more traditional, our goal scorers on the wing and the centers transitioning the puck in the middle of the ice and feeding the netfront area for Skinner and co.
  15. *Salivates*
  16. Eich has 3.47 P/60?? That's outstanding. I get this exact feeling. You don't want to sound happy that McCabe/Scandy/Sheary are out, and you're not, but we've all wanted to see Pilut, Nylander, Smith, maybe Olofsson etc.
  17. I'm excited to watch Pilut. I have more faith in him than any available evidence warrants, and the available evidence tells us he should be our top non-Dahlin defensive "prospect." I hope he's ready, and I hope he does good things! No shame in him not being quite there yet and having to go back down. But wouldn't it be something if his play forced us to keep him up? Thanks for the effort you put in out there, Remi. Very happy to have Bergy back with his boys. I'm getting good vibes for this one.
  18. I forgot about Dadonov too, he's a very slick player
  19. Also, Kyle had comments that reflected what several posters have said in here. He said that it's the first time a lot of our players have played a game like that, as close to a playoff game you can get before the playoffs. Great experience. If we can hang on and get there in April, our guys will be more prepared for those games because of this one.
