  1. The one team that Friedman mentioned yesterday was Ottawa and they only have one Russian as well
  2. I like this idea better and give him the choice if he wants to be moved at the deadline.
  3. I would look at the Sabres Goaltending Situation this season as they should have co starters. They should get Levi as many starts as possible, but have a capable co starter in case he struggles The third option should be a First or equivalent prospect imho
  4. Adams mentioned in his presser that they were in on a few forwards yesterday and got close with one and it just didn’t work out.
  5. Some other notable quotes from Adams regarding goaltenders. They did take a look at the available players and did say are those players better than the goaltender that we currently have and in many of situations they felt no. He specifically mentioned we could probably brought in a goaltender who has played multiple games and said we brought in a veteran with lots of experience, but they felt those goalies were not an improvement over what they had. Anderson, Raanta and Jarry all decided to stay with her current teams.Korpisalo would have been an improvement but the deal that he decided on the 5 years with a 4 million AAV. He was probably the best goaltender that moved, I just don’t think they’re too keen on paying a back up four million dollars when Levi is going to be ready for extension in two years. Plus would Korpi want to come to a situation, where he will be splitting, starts this year and relegated to a back up position relatively quickly. I would not wait until the trade deadline to try and get Hellebuyck How do you say showing him off locations that goaltenders acquired at the TDL have a different time adjusting to new systems. Vladar someone who they have shown interest in past is available. Also, in terms of John Gibson, who would not be my first choice, Chad has mentioned that he consistently starts well in the first half of the season and tails off by the end. Could this be a byproduct of him being overworked through course of the season and might his play improve in a 1A/1B situation. His contract is four years remaining with a cap hit of 6.4 million AAV, Anaheim would need to retain summer between 2.5 and 3.2 million for this to work. But again, are they gonna want to pay it back up goaltender somewhere between 3 to 4 Million per year.
  6. He is three years older, will be 31 his new deal starts, and the market has shifted away from paying goalies. There will be exceptions to this rule of course, but I imagine it will be for the goalies with multiple years until they turn 30
  7. Especially since the offer was Askarov, 15th and 24th OA supposedly. Trotz was willing to do this for Michkov, they probably ask for one of Cozens, JJP, Quinn and one of Kulich, Benson, and Savoie plus a pick. If a deal could be worked out I imagine they can play them both for 3-4 years and once their contract demands get too high move the lesser of the two for assets
  8. The NJ Devils are the biggest competition and they can offer a starter back as part of the part of the package in Vanacek and would not mind signing him to an extension. Sorokin who is three years younger and on the same level as Hellebuyck in terms of talent just signed an 8 year 8.25 million AAV extension. I doubt Hellebuyck gets the same deal much less more than that
  9. With the market for pending UFA Wingers being so poor, I wonder if moving his cap hit and trying to sign Tatar to a one year over pay is the right play.
  10. EROD to Florida on a 4 year deal
  11. There is also 4.57 Million in potential performance bonuses that can be earned by players on ELCs that has to be taken into consideration towards this years cap. I do trust this FO to make the moves necessary if they want to bring someone else in though.
  12. Waddell mentioned the they are acquiring Tony D’Angelo still
  13. Is this what you are talking about? Because he followed up with this Tom Webster, who has more inside information on this board then anyone else, has mentioned they reached out to Anaheim last summer about Gibson, who did not want to move his family from the West Coast last year. While we are on the subject of Chad supposedly not having any inside information, let’s review a few of things he has broke. That Kahun was the return in the EROD Trade. He broke Krueger’s Firing the night before it happened. WGR even gave him credit the morning it happened. He broke the Karamanos Hiring as Associate GM before it happened. He was the first to mention that Adams and Karamanos wanted to expand the Analytics Department. He broke the Tage Extension an hour before Kevin Weekes tweeted it. Weekes was first national Insider with the information He broke the Cozens extension as well.
  14. Offseason Champions 2022 and 2023
