  1. He’s not playing ahead of Dahlin or Power
  2. I would say there is a big difference between $11 million and $7million He’s trying to do some serious math gymnastics
  3. Yep always look like champions in sept biggest mistake they made was paying Marner and Matthews before they won anything Or maybe it was brining in PJ boy, knowing it reduced their window of opportunity from 8 years to 3 or 4?
  4. Might have to add Eichel to the list who get better in playoffs
  5. Was about to write the same thing ! Acciari, Hill and Graves via free agency Hanifan (or Zadorov) and Lawson Crouse by trade draft Simashev or Willander bring back Jost and KO Lets roll!!! Skinner; Thompson Tuch JJP Cozens Quinn Savoie Mitts Crouse Krebs Acciari. Greenway KO. Jost ———- Samuelsson. Dahlin Power. Graves Hanifin. Lyubushkin Stillman. Joker Levi Hill Comrie
  6. . Leafs got shafted 😂 Complete loser mentality. Matthews , Marner and Tavares did absolutely nothing all series BUT the refs shafted them 🤷‍♂️
  7. So better by staying the course and letting the players grow. BUT you want to trade away a bunch of players and all draft picks for a guy they can only afford to pay 1 year? That’s drunk Tim Murray GMing
  8. For the sabres to move back to 20, anyone have the draft pick chart that shows what they should receive in return?
  9. I get it, thats why I 've always assumed that Savoie would start in Buffalo and Kulich in Rochester. Could you carry both to start the season and have them rotate, until Savoie goes to the World Juniors? For Kulich, whats the better plan back to Rochester? or part time with the Sabres?
  10. wait! i've listened to both today and I got mixed up....easy to do at 53! . It was Maintenance Day where they suggested it. Whats the AHL Rule? do you have to allocate a certain amount of your roster to Vets?
  11. Sabres Live hypothesized that with the amount of new prospects coming to Rochester that Kulich is already penciled into the Sabres 2023/24 roster
  12. The time you start trading away your draft picks is when you are legit Cup contenders. if they keep the pick, they still should expect to be a playoff team in 23/24. UFA Market, RFA market Trades: They can "weaponize" their cap space by acquiring players from teams in Cap Hell They have plenty of other draft picks available to trade round 2 through 7 Olofsson, Joker, UPL and Comrie, could be used as trade chips. Plus any current prospects not name Kulich or Savoie I hope they keep the pick BUT if they feel the best alternative to acquire a guy who can play in your top 4 , with term - then so be it. I trust their judgement over mine 🙂
  13. Yes, Reinbacher dropping to 13 would be a welcome miracle.
  14. 13. Buffalo Sabres: Colby Barlow, LW (Owen Sound, OHL) One of the best pure shooters in the draft, Barlow would be an excellent option for the Sabres’ top six. He’s coming off a whopping 46-goal season as an OHL sophomore and has 76 over the past two seasons, the most of any draft-eligible OHLer. There’s room for his all-around game to grow, especially in defensive activations, but scoring clearly isn’t an issue. from daily faceoff
  15. No no and no
  16. I’ve lived Toronto’s success as a Sabres fan Heck I’ve seen the Sabres in the cup Now I want them to win one I’m just guessing here but I bet every single person who wishes the Sabres had the leafs time line would be calling for coach and gm to be fired and for the core to be blown up after 7 straight season of disappointment topic has gone off the rails The main point I was trying to make is that the leafs didn’t build through the draft Like the Sabres have They abandoned the draft 2 years after they drafted Matthews Well whatever Toronto did certainly hasn’t worked and their window has a decent chance of closing very soon
  17. Sorry but you can not complain that the Sabres won when the prizes were Dahlin and Power Dahlin will be as important a 1st over all pick as anyone not named McDavid over the last 10 years
  18. This is what I was originally replying to. the leafs did not build through the draft for years. They gave it 2 years and then started signing UFAs and trading away picks starting in 2018. that’s why their d and 3rd and 4th line guys are all old veterans who they traded for or signed, rather than young fast players on their entry levels. Yes , the Sabres need to make and win in the playoffs before we can say “they are building the right way” but I like their chances going forward compared to the leafs. and yes I’m sure it’s been more fun to be a leafs fan over the last 8 years BUT I’m sure they’d give it all up for just one cup
  19. The lottery should be an hour long show highlight a bunch of the prospects, not just 1 reveal only 3 or 4 teams at a time have a better reveal than an old man with a big card have more spots up for grabs (like they used to)
  20. You can not compare the leafs to the Bills. Bills have won in the playoffs. Leafs have not at some point. If the Bills lost 7 years in a row in the wildcard. We’d all probably say, time to blow it up
  21. Maybe for 2 maybe 3 years but eventually you need to win in the playoffs
  22. What moments do leaf fans have to hang their hat on over the last 10 years ? believe me , they are ready to blow it all up and start again if they lose this series
  23. Just like everything the NHL does , what a a chintzy production. The league needs Gary to retire and get someone who has some progressive ideas in charge
  24. if they feel he is their pick at 13, I too will be happy with him. It would put a high end (maybe even elite) offensive dman on each pairing. Actually, Im talking myself into the pick the more I think about it.
