I loathe the high stick. Victimized by is prior to the days of helmets but it was rare. Today many players carry the stick too high and it leads to penalties. Wilson hit him mid arm. Not needed.

I have been a fan since 1970. I think I will ever see a Cup squad in Buffalo. Sabres need a veteran NHL front office type who has helped build teams that have competed for the Cup to be a voice behind the scenes. Botterill is a nice guy but he has not won me over.

If you want to know why the Sabres are a bad team? Look at the past decade of drafting. So many premium draft picks that did not pan out or where traded away. This organization has to get way better at scouting talent and figure out what kind of team they want and have a long term plan (no matter the head coach). This team can not be built on cast offs, low level free agents and the occasional trade.

This team has no identity, chemistry or have your back attitude. Just a collection of guys. Side note...PH stop pulling the goalie. It does not work for this edition of Buffalo Sabres. They do not have the grit or discipline to impose their will on the opponent.

This team is beyond aggravating to watch.

Playoffs are not in the picture so play the young guys. Try new blood on the PP.
