I don't see any snipers in this group but they need a veteran presence in the locker room and we know several Vets will be released in the off season. I am taking a wait and see approach. I can not go through another dead season. I am not a Cubs fan. I don't want to be eliminated from the playoffs before the season begins.

DR was not serious about building a contender. Telling the guys to step up their game is one thing. They were short 2 or 3 solid vets to be a competitive threat in the playoffs. Vanek was not whining but being honest.

I am not sure Murray is in sync with Tank Nation. If he adds a few solid vet free agents, it will show that he wants to turn this around quicker than most expect.
