They really need to not use an elc year for him this season. Push it off one to help stagger some off 2nd contracts.
-
Kiefer Sherwood is a solid 4th line guy who hits with some skill. More importantly, he does shoot right, so 4th line rw.
-
I mentioned Yakov Trenin before but he's very intriguing to me in a 4th line Center role. Hits, decent size 6'2" 201lbs, and would push Krebs a bit. You're not getting him for his scoring though.
-
Michael Amadio is an option for 4th line Center although I think ppl here would want someone who hits more. Still, he's won a cup and is from Ontario.
-
Warren Foegele would be on my list today. I think in a 3rd line role, he's probably pretty good.

I wouldn't have bought out Skinner until next summer. Lowers the cap penalty and you get another year for the young guys to develop. If Adams doesn't use the cap saving, this move was trash. You now need 30g and 30a replaced plus you need add to that total overall.

There's not a single player in house anywhere, that's Zach Benson. Unless you're trading for Draisaitl, not interested in using 19yr old Zach Benson as a trade chip. This team needs more of what Benson brings not less.

Connections to what? Martin Necas in Carolina? Or former USDP player in mcgroarty? -

Sabres Trade the 11th pick to San Jose for 14th and 42nd Overall
LGR4GM replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Buium might be the best of the 4. He outperformed Power in the ncaa for a comparison and can do everything you want. Shades of Fox and Makar. Dickinson has a bunch of questions on his decision making and ability to play faster (make decisions fast). Still, he racks up points and can run a pp. He's not any different though than Power or Byram really. Luchenko is very young and has a lot of upside. He mainly uses his speed and good passing. Ottawa is betting on 1 year of good production but it's a good bet. Helenius is hard to compare to the defenders but plays a structurally more sound game because Liiga is better than the ohl. I think his defensive game is above Luchenko for sure. Luchenko has better skating but I think Helenius is smarter. If I had to rank them today. Buium Helenius Dickinson Luchenko -
Sabres acquire Forward Beck Malenstvn for 43rd Overall

Beck is bigger, and you could still add Kelly. We need more than 1 grit guy. -
We can replace Joker

Sabres Draft #14: Konsta Helenius, 5'11" 189lb Center
LGR4GM replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
My point is simple. None of you would mention his size being some hindrance if he was 6' 190lbs but are having issues cuz he's 5'11" 190lbs saying he's just like Östlund. Ik why, because dumb talking heads like Pronman are vomiting that out. -

And I was stating he's not magically small because he's 1" under 6ft as other players have been just fine at such a size... and he's 18. -
Yes he does. You're all just spelling his name wrong. https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/619102/vasili-zelenov

Sabres Draft #14: Konsta Helenius, 5'11" 189lb Center

Pavel Datsyuk was 5'11" and 190lbs. Something to think about. -
Sabres Draft #14: Konsta Helenius, 5'11" 189lb Center

Don't hate him. Recognize his passing and shot are mediocre at the nhl level. He's replaceable and not a 3c -
Probably that every player you named is on their AHL team at least, so they can wait until the prospect challenge and focus on these guys. I'll say this, I expect Helenius to stand out in this group.

It's development camp, complain about the NHL team in one of 50 other threads about them. Yes. It's working with fringe, new, and development players to help them learn and see where they are at. It's a good thing to do.
