SS needs an intern. I need someone to go pairing up the "it's just one game" debby downers from yesterday with the "The season is lost the team is terrible" posts today. The team has played 8 games, exceptionally well in 2 (PHI/BOS) middling in 3 (TOR/TOR/WAS) and Terrible in 3 (CAR/CAR/MON). Give them time. What if Myers figures it out? What if, when Regehr comes back, Leo becomes D #7? What if, Thomas and Jason really are this good? Even shortened, there's still a lot of hockey to play. Bull ######. Everyone lays an egg now and then. Pick the team you think has great leadership, check their results from last year. They had a five goal loss at some point.

Immediately after the fourth goal, my five year old son jumps out of his chair, "We are the worst team EVER!!" and runs out of the room. This is especially hilarious because it is entirely organic. I never react when we are scored against, and I'm extremely stoic when they are losing. This is not something he learned by watching. This was a primal instinct. It was fantastic.
