Janson and i nearly share the same past on this topic. Some friends of mine started a Nhl94 league and i decided to join them. I choosed the Sabres, because i liked the team, the names and the logo.mAt this time i also started to attend thebgames of Adler Mannheim, were a young promising rookie started his carreer: Jochen Hecht I also visited the game in Berlin last year which was huge and i also dream to travel sometimes to Buffalo to attend a game or two. I love the team!!

If Goose is worth 3.25 million $ a year i believe today is getting crazy. Parise won't go for less than 8 million a year. Maybe he will receive a 10-12 year contract with some reduced last years for 80 -84 miillion $ or so. I don't know if Parise is worth this money, or this money- 15%( i think 15% is the rate for overpaying for an UFA), but he is a leader who scored in important playoff games and won the cup with the Devils. My bet is he signs with the Penguins.

This sound good, but will we have a chance? I think good players in the UFA marketm want a cup contender and good hard and lots of $. Money is not the problem, but are we a contender? Without help no! What can we offer to the UFAs? New York for example can offer lots of money, a good team and simply Manhattan, which i believe is an intriguing place to live in. What do you think?

Seriously to we play in the big league and try to pay big for Parise or Suter or will we be happy with second tier quality? Any other vote than Karlson is crazy. This man has more points than any Buffalo player. This man has got more assists than Vanek has points ( our second best scorer). He is the best defenseman in the league! Come on 1 ppg for a defense man? This is crazy! He has 25 points mor than the second best dman and he is currently nr.6 in points overall. Rounded up with a +15 rating for +/- is a very fine package.
