  1. That does make sense, Calgary frustrated them all night and forced them to give up the puck earlier than they would've liked. Someone made the comment that the Sabres played like they were on the PK all night. One thing is for sure, our PK numbers should look good after tonight.
  2. How is this relevant? Corsi shots for, shots against, % taken by a team? Sorry not familiar but I'd like to understand where you're going with this.
  3. Taro T, "Hutton was entertaining tonight"; however, wow, they sure put him in some compromising positions. There were a couple of close calls that I thought that he was going to be injured. I can appreciate the fight this guy has but, they need to protect him a little better. Hutton is definitely a huge upgrade from Lehner, and I can't say enough about the way he moves the puck around, big advantage team Sabres.
  4. I would like to see Dahlin carry the puck all the way up the ice on the PP instead of gaining all that momentum only to make a no-look drop pass. They drafted the guy because he can carry a puck up ice and make amazing play's in and through the opposing player's. Just let the kid fly, He's got skills.
  5. I'm not sure what to think about this team right now. Part of me says yes they're a different team and they learned from last years mistakes. However, after watching tonights game you can't help but be concerned. I want to be optimistic and positive but, these kinds of games just open up old wounds, and leave me scratching my head. Wow. None the less, Let's Go Buffalo! We're with you during the good, the bad, and the ugly. Go Sabres!
  6. What are they saying to each other between periods? Why can't the coach get this team motivated after the 1st period? They came out unchanged and just as undisciplined as they did the previous period. "Coasting." That is the one word that came to mind throughout this game. If John Tortorella was coaching this team, they would've come out a different team in the 2nd period.
  7. I might have to agree with you on this one. Not intentionally but, If it not for a quick whistle...
  8. This team didn't move their feet, they were coasting, reaching and poking at pucks, ... Calgary outworked a team that has had 3 days of rest. Calgary deserves the win. Also, I don't think BOGO ever goes for the check he did if he thought his team was playing with some fire. Calgary was frustrating, more physical, cheap shotting, and outplaying the Sabres all game long.
  9. Embarrassing You just have been beaten by a team that has played back to back games on the road. I hope I don't hear Housley say, "We did some good things and we came away with a point....bla, bla, bla".
  10. They worked for it. Hutton, you played one hell of a game. 1st star
  11. I apologize for my comment about RJ and the mask earlier; I didn't mean anything by it but, none the less a stupid comment. Let's Go Buffalo!
  12. A few games back they were anticipating the play and intercepting pucks, they seemed to be in the right place at the right time.
  13. Wow, Hutton's ability to handle that puck, and make play's to move it out of our end, very nice.
  14. Rule 42 of the NHL rulebook dictates that charging "shall mean the actions of a player or goalkeeper who, as a result of distance travelled, shall violently check an opponent in any manner. I think they're looking at the distance travelled to make the hit.
  15. BOGO, charging. That's for all the cheap shots; I guess he was putting them on notice.
  16. Being in their end a lot? Hutton is keeping them in it, and would you agree that Calgary is the more aggressive team? I think the intensity meter points to Calgary. I'm just saying Calgary is putting in an impressive effort for a team that has played as many games as they have recently. So yes if it's in the water then let us in on the secret, I have to compliment Calgary for how they're playing.
