I was watching NHL Tonight for the pregame commentary regarding the Canadian vs Sabres matchup. It was mentioned that Dahlin would play tonight, and I mean that was it for that segment. They went on to orgazm over how Montreal's' off to a great start, how Claude is such a guru, how wonderful their young players are, and crickets for the Sabres. About 10 minutes later they acknowledged the Sabres win over the Sharks, a sentence about Eichel and Pommer, and back at how they love Montreal. I hope the Sabres kick some azz tonight. Let's Go Buffalo!

They were moving their feet, and that's something I haven't seen them do in a long time. They also really seem to support each other well, and they collapse down around the puck carrier in a way that makes it possible to pick off pucks. I know that had to be frustrating to the Ducks tonight. Anaheim would try to make a play through the neutral zone and there would be a Sabre. They were BUZZING tonight.

I used to hate it when Skinner was playing for Carolina and he got the puck on his stick at the end of a close game with the Sabres because it never turned out well for us. He would kill us.

If that's it, Duff isn't using it in the right context. I was wondering if I heard that correctly the other night.

Yes exactly, and Eichel doesn't strike me as someone who likes to look bad. Skinner also has the kind of game Eichel has to respect, he has someone on his level.

They did it, wow. I can't believe it. This is one of those team defining games. They're going to be able to look back on this game as a turning point.

IMO, Skinner makes Eichel play better.

Risto takes out Getzlaf, and Girgs gets a breakaway, this is a fun game. Add to that Skinner stealing pucks out of the air. What's not to like?

I can't remember the last time I've witnessed the Sabres complete so many passes.
