  1. How can you possibly have a valid opinion when all you can do is regurgitate other people's thoughts and opinions? Get out on your own. Leave the comforts of your lily white suburbia (do you even have your own place or do you still live with family?), have your own experiences, than maybe you can develope your own opinion and people might take you seriously. Or keep talking about how the bad white man is preconditioned to look at a black man as a big scary gorilla who must be feared. Your choice kid.
  2. Here's the thing though we've, and I'm sure you'll agree. The more money you have, the more exclusive the neighborhood, the less race matters. The better the neighborhood, the better the school district. You see much street crime in Clarence? It has nothing to do with race and everything to do with their income and social circle. How many doctors you think live in Clarence? You think the majority are white? Hell no. If you stood in my cal-de-sac and was staring at the front door of my 260k house the family on my left is Hispanic. The family across the street from them are Japanese. When I was looking to buy a house I didn't care what race they were, the only thing I have a furry rats @ss about was that they made six figures. Because racism and crime go hand in hand with education and income, there's no getting around that.
  3. To add to what JJ is saying, I've lived in most parts of the country for extended periods of time. I've said on here a few times that Buffalo is the racist place I've ever lived, and to this day I maintain that belief. However, the sign on the Erie/Niagara county line telling nigg*rs to be out of town by sundown or else went away in the late 60's. And Fillmore Ave stopped being the deviding line between black and polish neighborhoods in the early 80's. Racism, individual and institutional, is less with each generation and will continue to decrease. Maybe if some of you social justice warriors get out of your Lilly white suburbs (or in some cases redneck hillbillyville:p ) and educate yourselves instead of clickity clacking on your keyboard only reading and watching what affirms your beliefs you may develop a more educated and valid opinion. Because frankly, if you grew up, went to school and work in WNY and that's all you know your ignorant, and really can't have a valid opinion. I agree with and have seen everything in this post. But it's still better today than ten years ago, and it's still a very isolated part of the country. Most of the country isn't like that.
  4. Wow! I never knew something like this happens.
  5. Seriously, am I the only one that thinks Risto has some leverage?
  6. True, but I think the state of our D without him and his performance in the WC inflates his value more than we are willing to admit. I'll be absolutely shocked if he signs for less than 6.5 x 8.
  7. I'm a little jealous, retirement isn't as glamorous as you might think.
  8. I truly can't understand how anyone on here can take him seriously.
  9. You forgot the most available opportunity that millions of black people have, are and will take advantage of. Although I shouldn't be surprised coming from you. The military. You try too hard. White people are pre-conditioned to see a black man as a big scary gorilla? Are you kidding me! Holy ! Any respect I may have had for you is gone after that rambling piece of drivel you just posted.
  10. . How did an educated man like yourself allow this to happen?
  11. Call it an educated guess. Not good enough for you, tough . As for the discussion, it's there, if you're memory fails you go find it.
  12. You definitely need to have your resume in order.
  13. If team Europe wins the World Cup trophy who gets it?
  14. Not so much others, you and dark mostly. And let's not limit it to "bringing attention to institutional racism", although we certainly won't exclude it either. I think you're pretty much full of across the board. It probably started in the PK rape thread, perhaps around the introduction of the "all sex is rape" discussion. Over time the more I read from you the stronger my belief. Now, if you would like to have a lengthy discussion about it, I'm willing. We can do it in public and entertain the masses or you can PM me. Im willing to bet you don't give two shits what my opinion is of you, nor should you, so we can also just leave it where it is if you wish. Since I quit my post retirement job and fully embraced retirement I have way too much free time, im good with all three options. Your move son. Again, way too much free time, retirement is killing me, I'm so bored. That being said, is it fair to say that most of the police shootings over the last couple years would not have occurred if the victim would have just followed the officers instructions. I really don't know the answer, the question isn't leading anywhere.
  15. On a separate note, how come emojis don't work on here when posting from the iPhone?
  16. You're such a dick. Pretty in ironic though, huh?
  17. Finally, an answer that makes sense to me. I can understand that. I never looked at it that way. Thank you. I will cease and desist now.
  18. Swamp said he was a fellow lumberjack, that's the nickname of the NT High School, I thought it was you. I grew up there. Most of my family is there. Some of my family know the walkers. So when I see discussion after discussion after discussion after discussion about social injustice across the country on here I was curious why a local story about the walkers didn't make the cut, wether I normally have a desire to participate in such conversations or not. It's as simple as that. Not that I know of. But I believe it's a four unit building and all the units were empty at the time of the fire. To me that implies incredible luck or prior coordination.
  19. Granted, tone doesn't come across on a computer screen, but if you read this as anything more than genuine curiosity that's on you, because there's nothing in the writing to suggest otherwise. Oh, and we've, I confused you with swamp, sorry.
  20. I got zero point from Kelvin Benjamin too. Crazy day.
  21. Not true Hoss, go back and re-read our posts from a couple nights ago. I started off genuinely curious about how such a heinous crime in the local area was never discussed in this thread when it seems like most of what's discussed in this thread is social injustice across the country. More specifically, I believe it's likely that more people were involved in the fire. I tried to discuss THAT with you but you shut me down. The next day a few other posters brushed off the kenny Walker hate crime and things snowballed from there.
  22. Well . You grew up in NT, right? Put aside the fact that I'm being an @sshole for a second, do you disagree with anything I'm saying about the city in general and the Kenny walker incident in particular? If so, what/why?
  23. Probable Grand Island. Still good?
  24. I know. Retirement is killing me. I'm so board. That don't invalidate my points though. My posts are genuine, I just have some free time now and this is helping fill the void. Speaking of retirement, I moved away in 88. How comfortable could I live on $5500/month if I moved back home?
  25. Or maybe because if I talked to my brother-in-law the day after it happened and he said, "did you hear about that guys house burning down yesterday?" and I said "No, who's house?" and he said "The black guy" I would know who he's talking about! There are no circumstances where there would be a riot. Eight NT cops could have sodomized his wife before putting a bullet in her head with the kids watching and Kenny releasing a video tape of it and white as the driven snow North Tonawanda STILL wouldn't riot for a black man!
