  1. I read it as more of a "waste of paper/money" complaint.

Yeah, I know. I just think it's a sad state of affairs that we have to advertise and mail and mail and mail to get people to do the right thing when it's soooooo simple.

Waste of money and resources for sure, but unfortunately necessary to ensure everyone is counted and things are distributed properly.

Good luck with the job Shrades!

  2. I wish I could point to one thing, like ######, as the cause but I don't really know what brings the inflammation on. Doc says the bone in my wrist is abnormally shaped which is the underlying reason.

So I can't work from Wednesday to Monday. I've been pulling 14-18 hour days for years now. I have no idea what to do with myself.

Switch hands and get back at it!

Mine are government-related (but whose complaints aren't these days).

The US Census - 6 pieces of paper all to tell them there are two white people living in my house. I realize it may not be feasible for everyone, but has the government not heard of doing this online?

The whole health care debate. The majority of people that oppose this are Republicans or people who voted for McCain. They only oppose it because a Democrat President proposed the legislation. Our country is falling apart because our leaders do things just because the other party disagrees with it. I hate politicians.

My census took 3 minutes to complete. Why is it so hard and why do we need TV advertising and postcards?

People who latch onto a word and find the need to work it into every conversation or email. I have a coworker who loves to use the words vetted/vetting which you never heard used much in the past. Just say you "reviewed" it and lets move on. :wallbash:

I just had a coworker for two months that used the word 'Essentially' all the time. Every time I heard it wanted to scream, but since it was a short contract and I was hoping to get hired on full-time, I remained quiet. I didn't get hired there, but they referred me to the place that now employs me. Good thing I shut up!

Woke up this morning, made a pot of coffee. Got ready to pour this tastey beverage into my Sabres mug only to find out my housemates used up all the sugar. ######!!!

Drive to the local Speedway/Sheetz/BP and steal some sugar packets like Tom does.

My complaint o'the day - We have a company coming 'today' to install custom closet systems in 2 closets. Installation was scheduled for today and was supposed to take one day. I get a call last evening indicating they will be here between 10 and 1. If it takes one day to do, are they going to stay late to ensure completion, or are they considering one day to be two 4-hour days? My wife works tomorrow. Good thing I don't, but they'd better be done by 1PM when I have to leave for the dentist and then officiating and then playing. My guess is that they didn't finish yesterday's job which means they won't finish ours today, either. Grrrrrrrrrr........

  3. Great then at least we know that theory doesn't work in reverse where the dog takes on the owners mannerisms. :nana:

Sorry you walked right into that one and I couldn't resist. Besides your a Ref and should be use to abuse. ;)

No biggee, I am a yappy son-of-a-gun when I play and I don't take much #%^$#! from the players when I ref men's league, either. I have pretty thick skin during youth games until a teenager tells me to #%^$#! myself, then he's sitting or gone, depending on my mood.

  4. People that take on the looks and personality of the dogs they own.

Remember it's pet the sweaty things, not sweat the petty things.

    Just messin back.

PS: are pugs yappy, nasty ankle biter's ? I know my kids are ..

HA! Pugs are not too yappy, and not ankle biters. They just want to be on your lap all the time. Couch potatoes.

  5. People who use apostrophe's incorrectly. My dad used to put apostrophes and quotes on all his label's in both of the garage's. I always thought that it was a bad use of our Marks-A-Lot marker's.

See this quote by Duds for an example of what reminded me of this (and see my tongue-in-cheek apostrophes above...):

    Dudley!

    Just messin' Duds!

  6. Nobody is me. B-)

    I'm so pumped right now.

    Three A's this sem.

Bring it!!!!!!!!!!!! U farging suk Bluricanes!!!

Does anyone want to volunteer to help spndnchz with her pumping? :o

WOW. How bad does a toilet have to be to prefer a gas station?!

    Pretty F'n bad!

Sidewalk bike riders, especially when the city just invested some money and put in bike lanes on the side of the road

    Nothing a flying cross-body block wouldn't solve!

I ordered a shirt from the MLB shop. It get sent out promptly via UPS basic. On the 16th, it shows "Out for delivery" to my house. It still hasn't arrived. I call UPS, they tell me that there is no way to find out where the package actually is, and that I have to call MLB Shop for them to open a claim.

I call MLB shop, they won't open a claim for 14 days. Come to find out from them, UPS basic is actually a service in which UPS delivers my package to the post office, who then has to deliver it to me, which is why UPS is basically no help.

I don't get it. I work for a trucking company, and deal with drivers day in, day out. We have GPS and tracking on every truck. Yet UPS claims there is absolutely no way to get in touch with the local facility or the route driver to find out where the package is.

    :censored: :wallbash:

The problem lies with the fact that UPS can't track the package through USPS. I hate when I'm getting something through USPS - even with one of their tracking numbers, you still can't track anything.

Wow no thanks. I saw enough of her in ten minutes last night to last me a thousand lifetimes. She came across exactly like the emotional trainwreck of a woman I try to stay far away from.

First off all, Ass, she went through a lot with that injury of hers and she won Gold. It's a GREAT moment for her. Then, you have to consider this: SI

    Yay Lindsey!

Oh, and my complaint is that I will most likely be unemployed after next Friday for the first time since I was 18 years old. Could be time to put the GI Bill to work and go to college for a year or two.....

  7. I bought a new jacket during Christmas time. It has that flap of fabric over the outside of the zipper. I hate when they do that because that fabric almost always ends up jamming the zipper if you're not paying attention. You'd think that after all these years companies would have figured out this problem.

That flap is there to keep the wind from going through the zipper and also to keep water out. But yeah, I hate when it gets stuck!

  8. My pickup truck, which was perfect for use in Florida, is absolutely horrible in Northeast Ohio winters.

People who drive in Northeast Ohio without Bridgestone Blizzaks on their pickup trucks in winter!

I am also going to complain about the low quality of the youth hockey in this area, and the lack of games. I have 6 games this month to officiate. In Virginia (yes, VIRGINIA), that would be a solid weekend for me; here it's a frigging MONTH! Come on, we're in the north, play some hockey, and play some good hockey while you're at it. Note to coaches - it's not football on skates. Forearms to the head are penalties, as are hits where the puck is no longer present. Learn the damn rules before you start screaming at me, you moron!

    There, phew!!!

At least I get to see a good game this weekend when I got to Buffalo to see my Bantam Major nephew play for the '95 Regals AAA team.

  9. My sister-in-laws damn dogs. Two white rats that won't shut the hell up, and she brings them with her EVERY time she comes to our house. Shut those goddamn dogs up, would you!!!!

Can't wait to have them bark all day tomorrow and also have my 3 dogs going and 9 people in the house.

I see myself stealing away to my loft to watch football in peace.....

    Happy Thanksgiving my friends!

  10. No MSG feed tonight on Center Ice? There's a complaint. Happy to see a Sabres game, but would much rather watch the home feed.

Yeah, I'd rather watch the HOME FEED IN HD, but at least the 'yotes feed is in HD. Dave Schrader is a very good announcer, but Tyson Nash blows as color, and their roving reporter sucks, too.

The Rangers game isn't on HD on the MSG side, either, just on Comcast (Capitals feed).

Just gimme all my fukkin HD, would ya?

  11. You would think for $333K the builder would use his machines to get rid of all the giant rocks in my yard instead of burying them under the clay he pushed around today. Gonna be real fun trying to plant any plants or trees for the next several years. Grrrrrrr!

  12. Bicycle Parts. All I want to do is replace my seatpost and my seat and have a rim trued. Rim truing is easy, but man this other #%^$#! is expensive. I might as well just buy a new bike! :wallbash:

Well, buy a new bike then!

  13. My almost-13-year-old dog (shih tzu) decides she wants to pace on the bed at 3:30am this morning. She usually doesn't do that, so it's a clear sign that she's gotta go. The wife gets up to take her out and then neither of us get any sleep for the rest of the night.

I've got an almost-13-year-old Pug/Chuhuahua mix that does the pacing thing, too. She can't sit still and has back troubles. It's tough to watch when there's nothing you can do about it.
