  1. If it hits 80 million this is still a great deal.80 million is being very cautious
  2. Hahahah he has played 60 games just once in his career. All of last year, an 81 game season a 77 game season and this year where he is projected to play 65 games.... So he has played in 330/375 games. so he plays in roughly 90% of the games in his career. He isnt injury prone and it isnt a reason not to sign him.
  3. So you are telling me that it is going to continue to go up but arguing about how much? I am saying it is going up every year for the foreseeable future and so are you! Stop arguing with yourself.
  4. He became a full time player in 08/09...... the other season you are including was lockout shortened......... So he has played at least 60 games in each and every season........
  5. https://www.google.com/search?q=ryan+callahan+penalty+kill&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a People sure talk about his penalty killing a lot for a guy that doesnt do it. He has been hurt therefore not practicing with the unit which is why he isnt on it much currently. He is an incredible penalty killer and an awesome two day player. He could easily get a max deal........ It isnt even a debate. I dont know why you think that he couldnt. Malkin took a small pay cut on an extension a sweetheart deal with one of the best teams in the league. Where he plays with the best player in the league.
  6. You dont think the best scoring winger in the NHL would get the max deal? What world do you live in? Parise got it....... No you analyze/predict/project......
  7. No he isnt. Callahan kills penalties as well. Also why are people making RC out to be TC. He isnt hurt that much so get over this year.....
  8. it wont hurt them in the least! It will be an even better deal when the cap hits 100m. It is only going up. That deal will look like a steal in 2-3 years. This deal we are talking is jordan staal money. Which is right where he belongs.
  9. yeah thats because he signed his deal in 2009! He would get 12 million easy right now. http://www.capgeek.com/leaders/
  10. no it isnt. It was elite scoring money three years ago. Have you seen the number of guys making 7million a year? Honest if it is 7 for 7 it would be a deal. In three more years there are going to be like 100+ players making over 7 a year. A contract like that will be a bargain down the road. That is why he knows he is going to get it. there are nearly 50 players currently making over 6 million dollars a year. In three to four years the number of players making over 7 million dollars will be 100+
  11. Exactly! Yeah I want an Ott Foligno Callahan third line checking scoring shutdown line
  12. He was adding to the sarcasm. Honestly we have a bunch of Cap room. I would love him to be here on this team because I think he is an incredible leader and player.
  13. Honestly making 4m a year in Buffalo is like making 50 million a year in NYC
  14. HUH? so they didnt win it with them so its not possible? You dont need two elite centers to win the cup. It has been proven over the years the Bruins being the most recent example.
  15. Cant see that at work but obviously the top forward line would see the top D pair most of the time....... Again when we were good the Drury Hecht Grier line was the shutdown "third line" who were kind of billed as our second line. However it was the RAV line that was our scoring second line.
  16. So looking at Chicago's player usage from last year. Their "top line" it is hard to determine which one they choose as their top line but they do often get paired with the other teams top line but Toews starts in the offensive zone against them 65 percent of the time. Which is what started of defense first mentality hat has resulted in having 15 projected starting defensemen on the roster and in the system lol
  17. I would say Duchenne Mackinnon Richards Kopitar and the Boston Centers are just about even pushes at this point in time. Mackinnon and Duchenne I expect to get slightly better than Hodson and the rest I think Cody will pass in the next two years. I also dont even think the argument would be close if we werent so historically terrible at scoring goals FTFY I also bet that those two combined are probably in the top 5 all time for centers on the same team....
  18. To a team that had worse centers than we did.....
  19. I dont believe this at all. I also would like to know where you got the info to compile that.
  20. Honestly? You wanna do this? I will look it up quick and put together a list of current playoff teams centers... Gimme a minute Never mind. This will take way too long. However, Hodgson is easily a second or first line center on a playoff team. There isnt really even a debate. Every single GM in the league would love to have a young center that produces the way that Hodgson does.
  21. Huh???? Your top line center shouldnt be playing against top line centers.... they should be playing against the third line...... Your third line center is the guy who should be defensively minded going up against top lines.....
  22. That is what the reports say. Heatley a first and coyle or granlund.
  23. Yeah Coyle is what I envision as my top line center. Love him. Should be the Captain of the US team by the time the next Olympics rolls around.
