I bet the sens are happy the Sabes dictated what kind of game they’d play. Just keep playing your game boys.

From Reddit Sabres. Down 5-3, on the PP, season on the line, coach calls a timeout and…..nothing. No fiery pep talk, no board out for strategy. This was a disgrace.
This clip basically tells the entire story of where this organization is right now.🤬
Its pathetic. Its shite like this that led me to say in the gdt that its time to do some coaching Donnie.

Its hard to get overly excited about any of them. We hear it every year. Its always about the future with this team. Never about the here and now. Never about the present. Thats what KA fails to realize. He could make it about the present. Stop keeping his job by using the promise of future success and get to work on making them great now. Thats how good gms create job security. Just f’n win now.

No. Especially if he comes back with this lineup. This staff. I give Granado half a tear grudgingly and scuttle him if he fails. I fire him immediately if he brings back his assistants.

More likely you get Pale Shelter.
I often wonder, well, "how did I get here?"
I keep hearing ‘ burning down the house ‘ , but we’ve been there before.

This is where I’m at. I’m not upset by a game 71, 6-3* loss in Edmonton. I’m frustrated that our loss in game 71 all but ends our slimmest of playoff hopes and that we are now 13 years into this.
There have been times this year, even last night in moments, where you can see how it all might fit together as soon as next season. But then there are moments where we seem still so far away. Last night in the 3rd period was like watching men against boys. It seems we are further than a year away from this group collectively “putting it all together”. And yet there seems no urgency on the part of ownership or management to move this along at a quicker pace.
*Oh goodness, it was 6-3 when I shut it off.Last night in the third period it was men against boys. Quite literally. The youngest team in the league against the oldest team in the league. If anyone doesn’t believe that there is where the problem is I have a bridge to sell you. That third period was an embarrassment. From a coaching standpoint Donnie had no answers.KAs experiment of waiting for the kids to grow in the nhl as opposed to the ahl like most teams is a failure. This team and its coaching staff have proven that. Sure have some kids but you have to have veterans in leadership rolls. Next season we could be younger. I might be wrong but the mix on this team is obviously fukced.

Well. This ones on Donnie. At some point you have to coach. That was a meltdown of epic proportions. Nada from coach except a bewildered look. On to the next one.

So, what did Granato do/ not do there to draw the ire?
Didn’t challenge the goal? Imo it was off the glove but who am I?

Off the glove. Why no challenge ?

Lots of love for UPL by the Edmonton broadcast crew.

Considering what he inherited - big pluses for Adams:
Developed UPL - stuck with him
Traded for Levi
Traded for Byram
Traded for Tuch
Locked up Tage, Dahlin, Cozens, Power - their best days are coming. Tage I have questions. But he’s at worst a 2C
Drafted Benson
Drafted Quinn
Traded for Greenway
Signed Clifton - he’s definitely come on the 2nd half
Places where his hands are tied
No one wants to come here
No one wants Skinner
Okposo was coming off a decent year they needed a vet he made the most sense
Terry wants Girgenson to stay
He wanted to do right by Eichel and Reinhart - but got good return.
Kane wasn’t signing hereGranato did lead a turnaround - but - fire him? He just signed an extension and..
Bad injury luck we didn’t need this year: Muel, Quinn, Tage, Tuch
Levi - would he have stayed at college if there wasn’t some sort of “we’ll give you a shot” deal. We could NOT lose him.
His mistakes?
Not mixing “toughness” with his youth. We get pushed around. We aren’t good enough to play with skilled veteran teams that are hard on the puck. We lack elite big forwards.
Our top forwards can’t take hits and don’t dish any out. They don’t like playing that way or coached not to.
This has to be addressed somehow. Greenway is a 4th line PKer on a playoff team. We need to play him in the top 9 because we’re so small and the forwards didn’t play defense
Overall grade from me is B-
Granato - C
You left out the mule. Big money signing often injured.
ah I missed it. Sorry, just saw him.

This is a better representation of our team than the game we saw in Seattle.
Levy holding down the fort. Needs some support.
