We'll see how the teenage mutant ninga Hertle does tonight against the Nucks. Should be a good game with the Sharks having Van Cities # for quite some time now. I want to watch this kid n see what all the fuss is about.

I actually thought it was one of the rare times, and I mean very rare, where that move made sense. He was coming across the goal, the goalie was following him and had the net completely covered, they both kept moving and the puck stopped and he became his own screen. If they don't like it then stop it.
Also, screw the Rags.
Agree on the second point for sure.
Heck I agree on the first point as well. This league allows goals where you plow through a goalie showing no creativity at all yet get upset when a kid shows an artists touch. Sure its what 7-2 or something at that time but who cares ? Teams run it up all the time.

I think the Leafs have staying power based on their offseason moves of Clarkson (once he returns), Bolland, Raymond, and Bernier plus the continued maturation of some of their younger players.
Nonis has made some solid moves since he took over. As much as I hate the leafs ( sorry Millbank ) I have enjoyed watching them play this year. Looks like we'll be their Bitchez for some time till we catch up.

I noticed improvement when he took over last year. I found the games more ' watchable ' if that means anything but perhaps that was because I was anticipating some sort of change to take place. I think things could have been worse and am thinking they may get worse. The front office has done little to improve the roster which we're being told is by design . I voted somewhat responsible (5) because although he is the coach with a better roster I have no doubt he'd have a better record but then again Lindy would have had a better record as well. Thats on Darcy imo.

I like it. I couldn't think of a better ending. It won't satisfy everyone and the end of these things never do but it was a damn sight better than the ending for the sopranos. Man I'm going to miss this show.

If I remember correctly, the last time we had this discussion, someone chimed in who either had a kid or a family member who was on the receiving end of one of these hospital visits at some point. That right there is the only point of view on this whole subject that means anything in this discussion, that of the kids who are visited.
I was just going to post that last year a few of the nucks went into the childrens hospital in van city and my wife and child were on the receiving end of a couple of free tickets to a game which made their day. First N.H.L. game for the both of them. Those seats were at ice level and probably worth a few hundred dollars if I'm buying them. I appreciated the gesture and the wife and kid had a blast. No evil in that.
I should add. The Sedins donated one million dollars to the B.C. childrens hospital last year.

1 day off in all preseason is probably a good thing. I am sure guys will still come in and workout and do off ice stuff.

That and why the delay ? I think they're really searchin on this one. No doubt he gets suspended because of past stupidity but is it deserved for this play ? Kaleta is his own worst enemy. He's essentially rendered himself useless at the N.H.L. level because he's a liability to his team and the league is out to get him. I'm not making excuses for him but he's obviously a marked man if this hit is suspendible.
