Sabres should put package together and get Jeanott and Ekholm form Preds.
I'd send them Olofsson, Joker, Rosen and Vegas 2nd.
Say what?
You'd risk disrubting that team by making a bombshell move of trading Olofsson and Jokiharju ? There's no chance Adams is doing that.
Thats something for the summer.

I don't think the Sabres should make any big moves and i doubt they are anyways, the goaltending just isn't good enough and the team is too inconsistent. But they should get a dmen to improve on Bryson. He's become a liability. He was awful against Toronto, awful against Tampa. I think Clauge is better and i know he's coming off a little injury, but they should get someone better then him too. We can't improve on the goalies, we gotta live n die with what we have, but we can add some reinforcement on defense.

And if they lose tomorrow, it'll be beyond doom and gloom, and if they win, it'll be even more overjoyed than tonight.
lol yes. If they win tomorrow, i think they'll be entering Sunday's game with as much buzz as they've had since the last time they made the playoffs. And they're wearing the black jerseys. The arena would be wild Sunday if they win tomorrow. And this town would be buzzzin Friday night and Saturday. This race would seem a bit more real if they can win tomorrow.

What a difference does one game do to the mood on this board! That was fun. But Sabres need to figure out their goaltending or else we'll be saying "what if" in mid-April.
Super fun game.

Personally I think it’s a tip off to the fact people sometimes still get a smidgen too “high”, outside the GDTs between games, at this stage, with the inverse being the GDTs, during a loss, roller-coaster the other way.
For the last # of years if the word “playoffs” even gets brought up on wgr, twitter or even here, quickly people would be like “playoffs?! I would skate through a brick wall for just meaningful games feb and March!”
Sabres finally got us to this point and get overwhelmed against one of the best teams in the league, in a highly anticipated game at home with like 60% of the arena filled by Leafs fans.
And people are losing their minds. Sabres are a young and immature team that’s exceeding expectations this season.

I like Donny meatballs, he's very likeable, I want him to be the guy who helps hoist us that Cup but there are a ton of flaws in his coaching style. I like offense as much as the next guy but it doesn't matter if we're playing the worst team in the league or the best you can always count on 4-5 either breakaways or 2 on 1's per game. I understand that there are many young players but I'd like to also think they're improving not only offensively but defensively as well. Why do so many Sabres skate around aimlessly 2-3 times a game and not take a guy? If Don Granato is preaching take a man when you're in your own zone why aren't they doing it? Is it just the fact that we-re so young because we still have a bunch of older type players who've been around for awhile also. What do you guys think, is he the right man for the job?
On the night he becomes the longest tenured Sabres coach since Lindy Ruff you're wondering if he's the right man for the job? What do you suggest?
Donny has the team as one of the top scoring teams in the league, on pace for 92 points, currently at 58, in a season they were projected i think at 78 points or somewhere in that range. All while rotating 3 goalies, two AHLers and a 41 year old who can only play once a week because his body doesn't allow him to play more. Cmon.

It's time to get rid of the 3 headed goalie monster. Either trade Comrie or send down UPL. This will open a roster spot to add depth on defense.
I agree.

Doesn't matter , every game I see him go down, get beaten glove side, poor puck tracking, lateral movement.
Comrie should get more chances than this.
And the worst rebound control i think i've ever seen.

He did play well that game , i give you that.
You can't tell me you're comfortable with him going forward though? (not saying in the future, but this season)

Tied for 3rd worst in the league with 11 home wins. Tied for 4th best in the league with 17 away victories. If only they were even a .500 team at home. (actually if they were .500 at home they would currently have 66 points and be the first wild card team with games in hand over most the other teams)
What a joke. And they havent even had a chance in any of their last 3 home games.

Maybe hes a cancer I see the coyotes have a winning Point streak With him out.
That's alarming everyone
Maybe he's hurt? Something minor and Coyotes are like scratching him for an injury would be a bad look.
11 hours ago, Buffalonill said:Honestly this is Ridiculous nhl should step in and make them play him now or fine them. Till a deal is officially done
I agree with you. Not sure what NHL can do, but it's ridiculous. Teams fighting for positioning in the west are able to face a Coyotes team without one of their stars. For a game or two, when a deal is close, sure, but the way it's been its a joke. He's gonna be rusty wherever he goes.

The ESPN broadcast was aweful to listen too.
The absolute worst intermission i've ever seen. I'm a big Kevin Weekes fan but man, Weekes and PK were Sabres-level embarrassing on that telecast.
1 minute ago, Huckleberry said:UPL well, rebound control and for a big guy he goes down way too much.
UPL is becoming a problem. Maybe he's run out of gas, i'm not sure, but they can't ride him. He's just not that good right now and out of form.

The thing is White’s tweet was in response to a guy’s tweet who has a private account. So no one can see the original tweet to understand what White’s response means.
Tweet was from Kevin ntrider or whatever, Jeremy could've texted him.

I don’t know if White is saying Dunn is a trade target but he is having a great offensive season for Seattle. Don’t know why he would be available.
I'm 100% with you. Not sure why they would even consider trading him?
I appreciate Jeremy giving us insider info, we don't have many local insiders as is, so i can't be too mad but man i hate it when he's so cryptic.

I do think Beniers will win, but i think it'll be closer then people think. Elliott Friedman has been banging this drum for like 6 weeks now that Owen needs to be in the conversation. If Elliott is saying it outloud there must be others out there who also see it his way.

Sad to say, but there isn't really enough roster spots for all our current legit forward prospects
1st Rd prospects - Savoie, Kulich, Östlund and Rosen
2nd Rd prospects - Kisakov, Poltapov
3rd & 4th rd legit prospects - Bloom, Nadeau, Neuchev
Others - Cederqvist, Kozak, Rousek, Marjala, Huglen, Weissbach, and Richard.
There are also others than may emerge. That's alot of depth and quality. At some point some of them will be moved for players, more picks or prospects.
I don't disagree with you, there will be trades made. But i think time is still on the Sabres side. Kisakov looks far away. So does Rosen. Östlund is playing in the second tier of Swedish hockey, not sure if they keep him there next season or bring him to Rochester? Poltapov is years away. Bloom and Nadeau will join the Amerks after their CHL seasons are over and next season will be rookies, so too early to tell.
What will the Sabres do with Savoie is what im wondering, he isn't eligible for the AHL but i don't think returning to Winnipeg Ice makes sense for his development either?

Which prospects are you willing to give up in trade? To me the only untradeable prospects are Kulich and Levi. After that I'm willing to part with Rosen and either Östlund or Savoie, but not both. To part with either it would have to be a young player with term.
It's going to take a hell of a offer to convince the Sabres to offer up Savoie. Someone in the Meier tier. Can't say i see that happening.
