  1. Here in Vegas they raised ticket prices for next season by $4.00 a game and then no raise in 2nd or 3rd year. Still gonna opt out of my seats because season seat holders are dumping their seats for $ lost every game. We can’t get face value for our tickets. Only a handful of teams will you be able to sell for face value. If you are smart and you plan on coming to Vegas if you go on to AXS a few hours before the game you will get tickets for much cheaper then season ticket holders get them for even with fees.

Two awful efforts in a row at home. They play much better in the road.

They aren’t sniffing the playoffs til they commit to some type of consistent defensive system.

Their defensive system is ***** brutal. Like I have said in previous posts not really sure Granato is the right guy to get these guys to the next level.

West coast trip is just what the doctor ordered.

That will be a make or break for the season, not sure if they will beat the Kings but Anaheim and San Jose they should win but if they put up some stinkers these games they could kiss whatever chance of the playoffs goodbye. They need a veteran defenseman and another scorer in the worst way.

Defense is absolutely a liability, not only our defensemen but you have a whole team standing around while they pepper UPL with shots, this is some terrible coaching.

They give up way too many chances. From the games I’ve seen they’re not good defensively as a team. Plus as much as I like Granato, I’m not sure if he’s the right guy to get this team to the next level.

Of course I'd love to see Meier on the team, but his asking price would go a lot farther toward veteran blue-line depth and goaltending, which it seems to me are bigger issues with the Sabres right now, no?

^ This. If you give up a first, Rosen or Östlund, Johnson or Portillo then ok. But I’m keeping Peterka, Quinn and Kulich. I think the Sabres could use another solid defenseman before Timo Meier.

WR is not this team’s biggest problem.

Brady and Rodgers threw to guys off the street for years.

Championships are always won in the trenches. The Bengals embarrassed the Bills on both sides of the line. Go watch the Chiefs-Ravens game. Mahomes has all day even on one ankle, to make plays.

Find away to improve the OLine. Find a new D Coordinator with a new philosophy to utilize the talent there and find some upgrades if possible.

^ This is 100% spot on

Under double Tuch's deal by cap hit, sure.

If GM Sheevyn offers Cozens a 7x$4.75M, then Cozens' agent should immediately counter with a 2-year bridge and a trade demand to a team willing sign an extension 8x $8.5M+. GMs would line up for it. And if the Sabres play hardball, then look to sign an RFA offer sheet ASAP.

Sorry I’m not signing Cozens for 8.5 million until he shows way more then what he’s producing now! Not saying he won’t be worth it someday but if Tage is your highest paid player then others on the team need to be paid lower. Oh I forgot Skinner was the highest paid but I’m not a fan of that contract and if he’s not with Tuch and Thompson his numbers wouldn’t be is high as they are.

I think Dylan is going to want the Hughes contract and settle for something between that and Thompson.

The positive is that I am reasonably certain he will wants to sign for term and ultimately will.

He’s not worth what Hughes is plus Hughes is a better player.

@SabresBillsFan must have been a jolly joker when he suggested the Tuch contract.  There is no possible way that happens and the Sabres would be foolish to start there.  The starting point for the Sabres should be the Tage deal + a bit for an 8th year.

Tuch is making 4.75 million. Yes, Dylan has gotten better but look at the point difference between him and Tuch. Plus you take Tuch off that Skinner and Tage line and I think those two point productions drop off. He is the one going in the corners and doing the dirty work for Tage and Jeff! You don’t want to be in cap hell when you have a lot of prospects and unknowns about how other players have been progressing. I have seen it first hand with some solid contracts handed out here in Vegas and some not good ones. Too me Dylan is a good player but not more than what Tuch is making.

The play calling leading to halftime was an absolute joke. Plenty of time with all of their timeouts and they go to an empty backfield. Gee, what are they going to do?!

It was garbage, panicked coaching. I hope Dorsey goes to Carolina.

    And Gabe Davis is replicable.

Just like the Bills, I’m not sure if the Sabres have the right coach to push these guys to the next level. Their overall team defense leaves a lot to be desired.

The upsetting part is that our window has all but closed.  Salary cap is going to be a problem next year and both lines need major upgrades.  Not to mention all the good young QB’s in the AFC.  This was supposed to be our year and squandered it with poor coaching philosophies on both sides of the ball.  We are now way behind multiple teams and will be tough to close that gap over the next few years unless something major happens.  A few tweaks won’t do it unfortunately.  Oh, the life of a Buffalo fan

That’s been going on for a very long time. The Bills are the only team that have found new and creative ways to lose games, part of the reason why I don’t watch many NFL games plus when the league got too political that was pretty much it for me!
