It is impressive that their 4th and 5th round picks this year formed a really good d pairing at this tournament.

The Sabres ability to find players at all points of the past couple drafts is what has really lifted the pipeline.

The quality of the invitees to this tournament was impressive as well. The scouting dept. has been doing work😀

This should of been happening years ago. I have always said Buffalo needs to draft and develop. This is what will make this team a contender. Plus u need to hit on guys outside the first round.

I have not been this optimistic about the future of the Sabres in decades.

Me too. But finally a GM has built this team through the draft. Plus it seems like the scouts are finding talent past round 1.  That’s the key to putting together a great team.

Not a fan of Max Pacioretty? 🙂

No, I’m not a fan of Patches. I watched him in Vegas the last few years. Yes we know about his shot but my issue with him is effort and that he’s always hurt. The conference finals against Montreal sealed his fate for me. You would think a guy playing his former team would be going balls to the wall every shift but he didn’t and he got outplayed big time by the guy he was traded for. Plus I have inside knowledge that VGK has two cancers on their team and one isn’t named Eichel. Patches and that mental patient goalie Lehner  who the fans don’t want here.

I thought all your disappointments played really well today. Krebs and JJ were all over the ice. Östlund was superb holding on to the puck and setting up teammates. He also scored a beautiful one timer. Johnson uses his skating to make strong plays all over the ice. I thought he did it today.

It is hard though in a 3 on 3 tournament to get a real idea for players.

    ^ This

  5. I love what Kevin Adams is doing. Build this team thru the draft. I really hope he can get Johnson, Levi, and Portillo signed. He and his staff have done a remarkable job him of changing the culture. Don’t really care right now that they can’t get big name free agents because when you draft and develop guys the right way you don’t need to overspend on an unrestricted free agent. I’m excited to see what this squad looks like in years to come.

Sure they have mass shootings in other countries.  Then they enact gun control and the shootings stop.  Only the US thinks gun control isn't needed.  It's just stupid on our part as a nation.

California has the strictest gun control laws and shooting happen there all the time. This country isn’t going to give up their guns. As a matter of fact more people are first time buyers and are starting to learn how to use them properly.

This, Australia is a prime example of why gun control works.   I would say Europe too, but we always had that.   Now don't get me wrong, if I need a  gun there are few spots where to get them.    But Australia actually has a recent before and after and shows that it works.

And do you think their government would have pulled all that ***** with their citizens if they were still armed? Probably not.

Perpetual race issues, terrible thing to see. Add this in with the closing of all psychiatric centers and other support services and it boils over to crap like this.

No one should be in fear going to school or a grocery store.

^ 100% spot on. I have been saying for years that all across America they need to reopen mental facilities because almost all these shooting involve mental patients.
I always tell people you should always be armed and know how to use it because society is lost!

  9. Call it whatever you want politically(Because I’m sure someone on here will blame Trump or the Republican Party) but at the end of the day with all these active shooters, most of them if not all of them have mental issues. Bad people do bad things and if it isn’t a gun it’s going to be some other method.  This is why it’s important to carry and know how to use it in these situations. Society is lost and with the lack of parenting these days, social media *****,  coupled with the amount of illegal drugs that people are doing it’s a recipe for these types of actions.

Lehner is and will forever be my least favorite Sabre

I ***** can’t stand that mental patient. Their I said it. He’s just an oversized goalie that once he’s down it takes forever for him to get back up.

  11. As a season ticket holder of the Knights and a Sabres fan, this years Knights team is trash. All the injuries plus suspect goaltending in Lehner. Dumping Fleury was a huge huge mistake as he was the face of this franchise.  Management went all in the last few seasons and it has failed miserably. The chemistry has been off this year and the trade of Eichel for Tuch, Krebs, and that 1st rounder didn’t bring more success to the Knights. I thought the trade would benefit both teams but the more Eichel has played the more you see the laziness. What I’m talking about is we know he’s super talented but he’s all over the place in the defensive zone without actually picking up the man and in the offensive zone he doesn’t forecheck hard enough when not having the puck. It’s like he wants the wingers to do all the hustling and grinding and him hang back. I want players to skate hard. I also see why Montreal couldn’t stand Pacioretty. Yes he has a great shot but the guy is lazy besides how often this guy gets injured. When he plays his best is when he’s pissed off.  Last playoffs for instance you would think you are playing your former team that you captained and you were floating around way to much getting outplayed by the guy the Knights traded you for. Nick Suzuki. I absolutely hated that trade. I’m hoping the Sabres don’t blow this rebuild because I like what I’m seeing from them. To me since that Eichel trade and Sabres don’t look like the same team. Tuch and Krebs have been very good for Buffalo besides the emergence of Thompson and Dahlin.
