Yeah, or you could say they are 2-0-1 with 15 GF and 8 GA in the last 3 games and so they are back to normal ... 7-4-1 in December really isn't "hovering around .500" ... 6-3-1 in the last 10 still top 5 in the league over that stretch ... 11-0-1 on the season with Tallinder in the lineup ... it's all about where you draw the line, the numbers can be twisted to make them look hot again or cold compared to the start ... Still, I agree, these next two games are huge ... home games against, in my opinion, the biggest threats to the Sabres in the East (along with Montreal). Win them both, it creates a nice cushion and sends a message ... lose them both and it will be a dogfight all season. Split them and ... well, I have no idea what that means.

That last one never happens if Drury is out there instead of Novotny on the draw ... great work by Goose off the center ice draw though ... not going to let the last minute tarnish this one, that was a pretty complete game they played tonight.

Yeah no doubt he made a difference ... I like that line with him on it. If they can afford it cap wise, Stafford can go back when Roy returns and Paille can stay there as far as I am concerned. He also looks right at home on the penalty kill.

Well it's not like Peters is killing them with the cap ... his cap number is less than that of Paetsch ... it's like 0.460M .. .I think the minimum is 0.450 ... if so, he is costing them $10,000 extra ... it's not like he will be playing when it counts, he didn't last year ... Maybe they figured for that 10 grand they got to give the kids more ice time in Rochester than they could get up in Buffalo and they keep a guy around who is good in the room ... I don't know, I certainly do not miss him when he is scratched... just babbling here ...

Kotalik's cap number is $2.33, Seabrook $0.942 ... so about 1.4 mil or so ... in theory ... ain't gonna happen straight up.

I guess I don't know what you mean by "change of pace" ... they can't go making crazy roster moves, nor should they. If you mean they should play better, hell yeah. But they are trying to tread water without their two best defensemen here and they just got the No. 1 goalie back ... I know they set the bar really high but no team ever has brought thier "A" game 82 times ... we're getting spoiled I think ...

I think the spirit was willing in the first period but the bodies were not once they started taking all those penalties. Way too much time on the PK, and they never got anything going. Again, it's probably a good thing for Lindy to get a chance to raise his voice a bit, and we'll see how they react to adversity. For what it is worth, I thought they played a very solid game last night coming off the other loss ... let's see them do it again. Don't get me wrong, I am ticked off right now, but ... i've still never felt better about a Sabres team on Nov. 18. I'll get over it by Monday and be pumped for the next game.

At least you're not overreacting ... did you think they were going to win 9 of every 10? Lindy will give 'em hell, even if he doesn't do it publicly ... They will be fine ... Miller deserved better than 4 against tonight, though.

Well gotta give them credit for that kill ... Miller was GREAT, but the guys out there did a good job too ... still gives them a chance to steal a point tonight. Hecht took a shoulder right off his jaw ... he seemed coherent but ... concussion? broken jaw? who knows, he got popped. Hecht is back ...whew ... Ales Kotalik ... favorite musician ... 50 cent! Who knew?!?
