He didn't hit him from behind INTO anything ... if he had gone headfirst into the boards or crossbar maybe but ... geez, how is punching him in the HELMET worse than if he had punched him in the face? It was the right call. In fact, I am stunned he gave him 4 minutes instead of 2 ... I'm more ticked the damn ref stole the puck from Teppo and helped set up their goal, he should get the second assist.

All the Peters lovers need to watch that "fight" ... he doesn't even fight well, he turns his head like a little baby. You want a goon who plays 3 shifts a game, fine, go get one who knows what he is doing.

So overtime wins count less? And it's the same goalie as last year. I agree that was the difference in the series, but he's streaky as hell. I'm not saying they are not a threat, of course they are. I'm just saying you guys are awful quick to ignore 3 months of hockey and jump all over 20 horrible minutes ... again, where the opponent scored all of one clean goal. The Tallinder injury DOES worry me, I'm not HAPPY ... but man, don't get an ulcer.

To be fair, they lost 10-4 and 6-1 to Ottawa early last season and beat them in 5 ... Granted, it's not October, but it's not April either ... and Ottawa is closer to missing the playoffs than they are to first place. They played a GREAT first period ... the played a crap 20 minutes, the opponent hit 2 pucks into the net out of the air and bounced another in off of Teppo, and now the season is in jeopardy? Really? I'm pissed too, but not THAT kind of pissed.

Man you guys are REALLY overreacting to this game. It's a wonder you are still alive given that they lost 10-4 to this team last season ... if this is your reaction to a bad period I'm surprised you didn't leap off the Peace Bridge after that game.

Let's not overreact ... it was the same way against Florida last year. They have lost fewer games than anyone in the league, even after tonight ... to say there have been too many nights like this is setting the bar a bit high.

Last year they got beat by San Jose in Thornton's first game as a Shark too .. .Comrie has given the Sens a spark ... I am not excusing the Sabres, they have been brutal this second period, but there are going to be nights like this ... but man is it frustrating to watch.

Can they just decline all penalties.? They are the best 5-on-5 team in hockey, the penalty killing is coming around ... just decline the power plays.

Well they certainly were not at their best tonight but ... what does it say when they just beat the three hottest teams in the East, by three goals each, without ever playing a complete game, and never trailed in any of them? For one thing it says that Miller is playing really well ... but is it any coincidence they are now 13-0-1 with Tallinder in the lineup? Again, they have not been perfect, but you can't argue with the results.
