This season, Levi’s numbers have dipped, at least compared to the impossible standard set in his remarkable sophomore year. Northeastern has a younger team, especially on defense, and he’s had to face a lot more high-quality shots. By any other goalie’s standard, Levi is still having another spectacular season. A .932 mark on a team that is allowing over 30 shots against per game on average, is impressive.

  2. Whos are our goalie coaches?

Who was the last Goaltender to develop successfully in the Sabres system ?

Who was the goaltender coaches then ?

Is it bad player/goaltending or bad developement?

Ulmark is doing well in Boston but he never looked consistent in Buffalo. UPL has plateaued it appears. Cromrie hasn't wowed us but he is new to the system.

  3. Didn't realize the game was on TNT last night. Found it at the End of tne 2nd...

Watched the 1st half of the 3rd period and went to bed disgusted

Glad they won, but what I saw is team chasing everything and not playing sound. The Redwings were just dominating... They were winning faceoffs and controling the puck and the Sabres had no answers in that stretch...

I see lots of people claiming goaltending as the main problem... What I saw had very little to do with goaltending.. It came down to system, they didn't seem to have one that was working..

Since I haven't seen much live Sabres I do not  see them enough in real time to say goaltending is THE issue, but the team as whole was in complete dissaray for the about 12 minutes I did watch.

You’re officially dead to me. 🤮

They played a completely different school. This post reminds me of that time that Chris Weber called a timeout he didn’t have, handing the national championship to Duke.

And I’m even more sick now after making a bouncyball analogy.

    sorry Boston University

How is making 36 saves on 40 shots 0.944 and not 0.900?

And 33 saves on 36 shots should be 0.917, not 0.941.

to be honest I'm just taking the stats off the NE Huskies website for Devon Levi.. I thought they seemed off...

Maybe is accumulatve for the year.

I think that is his season save percentage after those games.

must be but I'd have to do math to verify and I'm not that motivated

The NE Huskies hockey page is a little hokey.

Has he  Regrest in his number so far ?

I remember last season he was getting  Shutouts every other game

He is defintely behind the pace of 2021 - 2022 shutouts. He had 4 SOs in the 1st 9 games played last year, compared to this year he only has 2 so far.  He did miss a weekend of duty (2 games)  do to being ill this year.

But his GAA is stll solid... He also had 3 losses in his 1st 9 last season. This year 2 ties and a loss in the 1st 9

A somewhat cryptic thread title I know.  We are ten games in and sit 7-3-0 with 14 pts only behind the 9-1 Bruins.  We have beaten contenders like Pitt, Edm and Calg and other than the awful Sea game, the Sabres were in the other losses.

The kids are starting to play well, even Krebs.  They lead the NHL with 20 3rd period goals, they are +15 and in 3rd period differential.  They have a couple of comeback wins, but have also been able to hold all their leads after 2 periods.

The offense is clicking and as balanced as we hoped.  Tage, who I admitted being worried about before the season, is even better.  Dahlin is playing like a Norris contender.  We have 4 guys with 6+ goals and 3 with 7+ to lead the NHL. No one else has more than 2.  Our 43 gf is second to Bos’ 45.

Been here before with hot starts. I need to see us play well through the Holidays. Historically over the last decade November though January is usually where our season tanks to the point of no chance for the playoffs.

Defense is giving up to many odd man rushes and hopefully they will be able to fix that part of their game. But I feel this year they are poised to do better though that stretch...

    That's 3 of the 5. Good stuff.

The other 2 surprised me. I would never have guessed them. Anyone guessing them correctly without help would need a very specific memory of having seen it happen or having previously read/heard about it having happened.

I looked it up and I can say I would of never guessed it

It was Perreault with the 7 point game....
