I think we are in the middle of an end of season collapse, no? Players not responding to coaching is a problem and hard to comprehend. Especially when you have an icon like Lindy Ruff. Maybe Lindy just doesn't give a crap anymore? Maybe he's finally given up trying to understand how to coach younger players? Like I said, nothing Adams did at the deadline precludes changes being made. Ruff needs to retire and the rest of the coaching staff needs an overhaul. Adams got more time than most GMs to turn the bus around. Maybe you at least look at Karmanos and Leone.

Here's the problem. You're judging UPL by the end result, not by the factors that lead to that result. You simply don't believe that bad defensive play leads to more goals. You expect a goalie to just stop everything no matter what. It doesn't work that way. Josh Allen is one of the best QBs ever. But the Bills still try to surround him with quality players. Why is that?

These moves do not guarantee Adams survives. They had to be made and nothing he did prevents a new GM from moving forward. The core is still here.

I'm listening to TSN.ca Trade Tracker. The talking heads are talking about the "toughness" Dylan Cozens brings to Ottawa. Didn't Ray Ferraro just call out Cozens for standing around when Dahlin was getting jumped last night?

And makes anything done by the team that hasn't made the playoffs incompetent. Life is easy.

Interesting. If Adams traded for a player only to dump him a year later, we wouldn't be calling him competent.
