I just think our expectations of Levi will not match reality. I'm sure he will be great. I just don't want to see him rushed into the NHL because he dominated in college.
Okay. Slam dunk.
I think its part of Kevyn Adams' desire to treat his players with some respect. He's not going to dump him unceremoniously just because the shiny new toy arrived.
They aren't going to discard him like Kleenex. He might retire early. But the whole reason he's here is to serve as a goaltending player/coach.
Against college talent. Remember that.
That would be a horrible thing. No way he's going to be ready at 22 for the NHL. There's going to be a big adjustment just from college to the AHL. Heck, he may end up the ECHL for a while. (Assuming we don't trade him to Montreal first, lol.) He's 21. It takes goalies longer to get to NHL level.
We aren't carrying 4 goalies.
I was going to say they played well on defense at least. They are frustrating the Kings. We had a few decent chances but mostly it's been awkward. Does Don the hockey whisperer think a little unfamiliarity will get them to focus better?
It's both. The thing with UPL that isn't reflected in his stats are the huge saves he'll make late in a game. So yeah, he let in 3-4 goals but he stops a 2-on-1 late that allows us to win.
Some do. LA, Dallas, Boston. But almost every market has to put something in, like infrastructure improvements. Bob Kraft paid for Gillette but the state also committed to improving Route 1 and train access.
