Apparently the Bills met with former NCAA heavyweight champion wrestler, Olympic gold medalist and former WWE prospect, Gable Steveson.

IDK what the outcome would be as Steveson didn’t even play high school football let alone college.

McD loves him some wrestlers. He’d sign him just to have somebody to spar with.

I think Benson's "jump" will be in year 3 or 4. Likely when he's around 21.

I will not be surprised if he takes a backwards step next year and it won't worry me as I see a bright future. He might not. We shall see how he adjusts to what Ruff brings, but I am expecting a more structured style of play and young guys usually have some issues with that initially.

Benson was perhaps our most structurally sound player on the team, so I think he would embrace whatever structured style Lindy wishes to employ.

I don’t think he’s claiming that the Bills social media team was intentionally making fun of the homeless or making light of homelessness.

    Unless maybe he is.

Also, let’s get a woke footnote here: The more appropriate term is unhoused, not homeless.

I think that’s exactly what he’s claiming. He also managed to indict “Bills mafia” in the process. Just an absolutely clueless take lacking in context.

Aren't you Mr. Woke? Seems only when it strikes you.

Making light of the homeless, many of whom indeed live in tents, is cynical. The source of the "joke" hardly matters.

Not surprised this plays well with classless Bills Mafia.

Were the producer’s of ‘Parks and Recreation’ making light of the homeless, too? Do you honestly think the Bills’ media team got together in the pitch room intentionally seeking to make fun of the homeless and then tossed around various ideas and scenarios with that theme in mind? Smh.

Beer is like pizza. Even the low quality stuff is still good. I'll drink any beer and enjoy it, whether it be cheap-swill North America macro, high hop craft beer, Euro pilsner... It's all good.

That said, a grapefruit radler is the Hawaiian Pizza of beer. Again, I'll still drink it, but it would be much better without the grapefruit, just as the pizza would be better off without the pineapple.

Wish I could agree, but I’ve had beers so bad that drinking urine strained thru Fat Bastard’s soiled underwear would have been preferable.

I agree with this specifically and the philosophy in general.

Some people seem to think Johnson is among our top 4 defencemen. I don't think he is in our top 6.

If he's not he should be playing, not watching.

Anyone thinking Johnson is in our top four did not watch many of his Amerks games. He had some fine moments and some bad moments and most of the time looked like he has much to learn and improve upon. He’s a terrific skater with some offensive skill, but he needs to be better defensively in his own zone.

He's about to be 23, how much more time you giving him? Why bother when you can get something now for him.

By all means, get what you can for him. Fine by me. All I’m saying is I don’t think he’s a top 6 D man at this point

I saw something about how Samuelsson is doing well. There will be no (current) issues with him being ready for training camp.

Im curious about the potential for Johnson (blocked) or Jokiharju (contract, and way more in demand than this board would have you believe as a 24-year-old veteran RHD) being moved this summer.

The top 4 is set and Clifton is safe.

I think they’re comfortable with Bryson as a #7 if they move someone, or decide to cook Johnson some more.

Not sure Jacob gets qualified though.

The progress of Komarov and Novikov, plus the additions of Strbak and Byram has done wonders for the defensive depth.

Imo, Johnson needs more time to cook in the A.

If Johnson is in your starting 6 who is out?

Dahlin, Power, Byram, Clifton, Jokiharju, Samuelsson (we safely assume Bryson is out) so which of those 6 gets the boot for Johnson?

Imo, Johnson isn’t yet as good as anyone on that list and I don’t hold Joker in very high regard as it is. At best, he replaces Byson as the 7th D.

How many Prospects actually have a shot to make the team over the next couple of years ?  Asking.

With the Lindy hire, wouldn't we expect more veteran additions and using prospects in trades ?  Who is actually untouchable ?

    Imo, nobody is untouchable. Nobody.

ERod and Okposo have been more noticeable than I thought they'd be.  They're pretty nice pieces to have sitting on the bench (or in the bottom 6) for when a top 6 guy goes down.

In the East I'm pulling for FLA just because I want to see the ex-Sabres do well.

In all my years as a fan, I can only recall two ex-Sabres that I didn’t want to see do well.

Bruins were screwed by the refs but that's hockey. Florida is a dirty team but they are a smart dirty team. Maurice coaches them that way (think back, Winnipeg was dirty under him too), If you guys saw the Canadian broadcast they showed Bennet sucker punching Nies last year exactly the same way he took out Marchand. It's dirty as hell and if it was the Sabres you'd all be in uproar but because it's Marchand it's fine. Two years in a row you'd think the league with all their concussion nonsense would suspend for sucker punches to the head but no, Bennet can do what he wants. Okay, whatever.

If the Bruins had more scoring talent and made it 3-0 early this might have gone differently anyway but they don't. Florida is the more talented team and would win regardless over 7. Now, with the refs help it'll be 5.

Unless the Bruins perform free agency miracles, next season is the moment Sabres can take their place (and then get beaten up by Bennet lol)

Because it’s Marchand, it’s way more than fine; it’s karma establishing harmony in the universe. After his years of dirty play, Marchand deserves several more punches to the head. F that rat bastard puke.

It's not in my DNA to feel bad for the Broons.

All of us geezers who went to different schools together back in the day have that same DNA. My 2nd most hated team now, but they were my most hated team for a long time; from the moment Schoeny and Cashman crashed thru the boards.
