You have got to be kidding me.
Why? I thought I was pretty positive today. The guys I was watching with were much more angry than I was.
-
That's awesome.
-
Why?How do I find Greg Roman and how do I remove him from access to the team on game day?
Everyone realizes that we lost to the Super Bowl champs by one score today, right? And the refs were not favoring us, right? I think we did alright today.
-
Hey Nfreemen, say Brady takes off and runs with the ball. If he slid and got hit the way Tyrod got hit, would they have picked that flag up?
Yeah. Didn't think so.
-
How many of their drives were extended by phantom calls on third down that we never saw a replay of. God bless the NFL.
Hi Nfreemen. Hope you are well.

I'm glad we lost to them today. It's a marathon not a sprint. The Bills were outclassed and outcoached today.
They will not beat the Pats, ever, with Brady playing that well.
They also will not be a serious contender if they can't get through a game without committing 10+ penalties. (At least Swamp hasn't claimed yet that the refs gave the game to the Pats.)
The trade for Watkins continues to look like a terrible move. That extra #1 this year should've been used for an offensive lineman. And for the Whaley defenders: the offensive line is a pretty freaking important part of the team. The Bills' line stinks.
TT played lousy for 3 quarters, but at least he got some good reps in during the 4th.
I really think that by the end, we will make the play offs and the Cheaters won't.
-
What a blast. Fun game.
We will beat them the next time we play them.
The officiating was so beyond biased I don't know what to say.
The Bills are good. We are going to be happy with the rest of this season.
-
I'm not going to be upset if we lose today,… but I'd really prefer if we won.

Good. Maybe we'll get some good data. And maybe the dweebs will go back to mom's basement. Ma, the meatloaf!
Well said. You're a musician. Can you imagine trying to quantify jazz to try and make it better?
I'm sure there is a computer analyzing a Coltrane solo somewhere.
The music reference is a good one. All music can be broken down into math and the theory can be useful.
But ultimately has to pass the ear test.
More importantly, the feel test. Someone can be playing all the right notes and it can sound Gawd awful.
The idea of risk management, to me, just screams Boring Hockey! I really don't want to see hockey turn into baseball, which is unwatchable, due to the risk management factor: "Hey, this guy is a lefty so we better change the pitcher because on Tuesdays against righties when the weather is fair he hits doubles when there is a guy in scoring positions blah blah blah,..." ugh.
-
That's because you are to new hockey stats as Drunkard is to new Windows :P
If advanced stats was only used to choose the players you want on your team I'd be fine with it. When it is used to determine how players play the game, then yes, I think it sucks. Hockey is about skill and passion and doing whatever it takes to win. I don't want to watch a bunch of players out there simply making the safe play and basically just managing risk. I can go to an insurance salesman for that.

I just wanna say I think it's awesome you guys are doing this. Tell me all about it afterwards :)
It's funny. I was actually thinking that a little part of me died knowing they are doing this.

It's a great interview... but my greatest take away on that interview is Pysyk's nickname... Pysser. aka PIsser.
-
All contact sports probably. Definitely hockey.
I can't see that happening though. I think it will be forced upon the players to understand the risks they're taking.
Parents of child athletes will be the ones with the toughest decisions to make.
I'm guessing that most of them won't have to be forced too hard. I heard a former NFL player talking off camera one time and he was talking about how he was a part of that class action law suit (merely by having been a player) and he was a little miffed. He thought it was BS because he said he would have played anyway, knowing the risk.

Milt Hinton, the Milt Ellis of bass players.

You guys really are nuts.
Down here, on Earth, where the spaces between the words aren't analyzed to death, the presser was fine for what it was.

I know you're trying to help here, but this would just divert limited ER resources from those who have real emergencies.
I am ashamed. Thank you.
Meh. That might make a difference in Brooklyn, but I doubt an ER in rural western NY is all that active, and even then, they will just make you wait if something more important comes along.

Ever come down to Cherry Springs State Park in northern PA? It's said to have the darkest skies in the eastern U.S., and it's an International Dark Sky Park. Occasionally they have star parties. Astronomers flock there. It would be a bit of a haul, probably almost three hours. You'd be in the middle of nowhere in Pennsyltucky — I wouldn't recommend any canoeing with that perty mouth of yers. But you'd pass through Coudersport and could flip the bird at the memory of John Rigas if you are so inclined.
I did a double take on that one.

"Lots of reasons" being what? The Concept of Travis Henry? Eric Moulds being the only legit receiving threat? Leading scorer Rian Lindell?
That team didn't have sh*t.
They had a D line. And everything you are saying didn't come to light until about the 7th or 8th week of the season. There was plenty to be hopeful for that day.

Damn. Now I'm going have to get some liverwurst. Hope it comes with at least a weeks supply of Uloric.

So, I'm guessing that after he posted that, just like me, you did a search for Rickyisms and watched the first video listed?I feel like, worst case Ontario, people will be breaking even this year. I'm sure things will pick up soon.

Dunno. I think of the poet. Especially when I read "Buffalo Bill Karlos Williams," my brain desperately tries not to turn that into "Buffalo William Carlos Williams."
What's funny is that's actually who I was thinking of, but my gin soaked brain confused it with Walter/Wendy Carlos.
And Trent Dilfer says unexplicably.
ugh.

You're pulling my leg. You've really never had one?
Never. I didn't like tomatoes until recently. In the past, if I was going to eat breakfast, it was going to be eggs and corned beef hash, and why would I eat that for lunch.
I'm on a little weight loss kick now, though, and I'm finding all these foods that are pretty damn good. Who knew I liked pickles? (this is where Archer says,"Phrasing!")

I had my first one ever on Saturday. And by "first one ever," I mean I have never even taken a bite of one before.BLTs
Yes. Awesome.

Couldn't agree more. It was frustrating, but we still only just lost to a team that was better than us.
