Bleacher report said yesterday that 15% of NFLers have been hurt this season already. That injury rate is up alarmingly from last year when the NFL recorded 1300 injuries for the season. At this clip, they will surpass 1300 by mid season.
Modern chemistry has surpassed what the human body can withstand.

I bet one of them will be a wing to start the season.
-
Is this really only half of our team?
-
I remember this,…
Hope.
…It's gonna to take some time feeling comfortable with it again.

That's clean hip Stone, quit ya bitchin
They are still legal,… much to Mike Millbury's dismay.
Kane could pass more.

A washed up RJ is better than Dunleavy and Duff on their best days.
No offense to Dunleavy, but he needs some time. As of now he's just like every other cliche-loaded, cookie cutter announcer. Duff isn't bad, but as has been mentioned he doesn't paint a great picture for those listening on the radio. It was difficult to tell which team scored when I heard him call the Sens game.
Not saying either of those guys are bad, they just need time. Duff is one of the best reporters in the biz.
Dunleavy absolutely does not need time. What he needs is a team worth calling for. I really like him and hope that when it's time, he takes over. RJ has been living on past glories in all of our minds the past couple of seasons (that's not a bad thing, just the truth).

You missed the name change and I forgot to hit shift on the change back. Oh well.
Uh, oh. No Santa Claus this year.

I am trying so hard for the third, but, damn, it's been a week and my lids are heavy....
It's the preseason. I love hockey an' all, but if I find a rerun of Big Bang that I think is funny, I'm changing the channel.

Getting back on topic, I love the word(s) I'd've.

I haven't seen one thing that makes me think McCabe isn't going to be a good Dman.
-
It definitely started to look more like hockey.Great. I take five minutes to address Facebook stuff, and the whole thing shift's from grammar to THE GAME IS FREAKING TIED! Go Sabs!
(Yes, it's on purpose.)

My stupid dog stepped on the trackpad of my laptop and stopped my feed and I missed the goal.

Correct: We are Sabres fans. Incorrect: We are Sabres' fans.
Correct: The Sabres' fan base is one of the best in the league. Incorrect: The Sabres fan base is one of the best in the league.
You didn't convince me. While those are common usage, I think that technically, all of those are correct.

I think need to mention that I, too, hate the Leave's' front office.

SDS set me straight on the two space thing. He was right. I'm under fifty and always use the Oxford comma.I had a debate about those before my hearing this morning. Funny, what a bunch of idiots in the gallery will do before the judge takes the bench and we have to start looking at our papers again. The general consensus was under-50s use the Oxford comma; over-50s don't.
There is a similar split with two spaces after a period. Those who grew up with a typewriter (me) do; those younger, don't.

I can't (is that one okay, eleven) think of a usage where they both couldn't be technically correct. The organization's name is the Toronto Maple Leafs. You can't just chop off that last s and make it separate. For example, if somebody's last name is Parsons...the correct possessive would be Parsons', not Parson's.
Both. Depends on usage.
-
But,... Are we Sabres fans or Sabres' fans?Does one Leaf have the office? And why in the ###### it would be possessive anyway, grrrrrrrr...see my edit.
Or both?
-
Is Leafs' front office correct?
[ducks]

Wife is out of town. Little girl is up in bed. Drinking a Manhattan while watching hockey after an awful week (both work and home).
F'N Fantastic.

You are correct and I think I may have been a little on the liberal side when it comes to mentioning my favorite site. If any posts should be deleted, I won't put up a fight.
So would it be bad to mention that I love the right click-inspect element? Screw trying to find those little Xs. Just delete the code.

Honestly it was the first thought, I just didn't want to be a dick. Does that mean we have a Garrison among us too?
Honestly. It was my first thought.

For anyone watching the current season of South Park, does PC principal remind you of a specific poster from here?
It was the first thing I thought.

Fool me once shame on you. Fool me 100 times...
And we'll find out on Sunday if they're any good. There's a real possibility that they lose again.
You're just a ray of sunshine.

No, garbage time is piling up points and yards when you have no chance to win. The Bills got the ball back with plenty of time to score and conceivably tie it up. The Patriots continued to throw and twice went for it on fourth down. There is really no way of knowing if the Patriots defense lost its focus but I saw little evidence of a coaching adjustment similar to how Buffalo pulled back the reigns against the Colts.
The defense was obviously ineffective most of the day against Brady but he was just in one of those zones that very few can duplicate. He makes it look so easy that it can be maddening but first deciding where to throw and then hitting those throws with such precision that his receivers can turn up field and doing it all in under 2 seconds is something they may never face again.
On top of that there were at least three calls that could have turned the tide early that went against them. Not saying it cost them the game but to think the game wouldn't have been different without them is in my opinion incorrect.
On a side note, I laughed out loud when the announce expressed surprise that the Patriots continued to throw and used the cliche "I'm surprised the Patriots haven't taken the air out of the football and just stopped throwing."
I think nfreemen's head just exploded.
There absolutely was a bias against the Bills and I wasn't crazy for thinking that, but, here's the thing. It was their own damn fault! All that BS before the game (Boobie kicking the ball into their bench, the DBs surrounding their drills) is embarrassing and they deserved not getting the benefit of the doubt on the penalties they got. I didn't know this when the game took place, that's why I was so pissed off, but what Rex and that team did before the game is, well, just f###in' stupid.
I really hope that they learned that if they just play football, they're pretty good.

Boy, is it nice to see a Biils uniform with only one shade of blue on it.
