  1. - Walmart sucks! They opened a new store in Lancaster earlier this year. Been in there 4 or 5 times, and won't be back. I can't believe how bad the quality of employees are, nor how poorly the store is run. There are never enough registers open, and if you go in for one item, the express line is 20 items max. You can't make that express line 5 or 10 items. FU!

    - How the heck does a Pepsi truck end up on it side on Transit Rd. in Depew where the speed limit is 30...which resulted in Transit Rd being close in both directions during the morning rush hour.

    - First significant snowfall of the season on its way. :censored:

Not to mention the cashier in that line is the dumbest, slowest cashier in the world.

  2. I shouldn't just limit it to college students, I guess. Just about every lease in Boston expires August 31st. It gets really ugly.

Just found out that one of my friends is one of the many people moving right now in Boston so I gave her a "go to hell" for ya.

  3. It's moving day out here in Boston. My usual drive from work to the gym generally takes 10-15 minutes. Last night it took me an hour. College students are the bane of my existence. If any of you college students are reading this, I think you should drop out.

I guess I should be happy I have been sick the past two days because yesterday started move ins at RIT.

  4. I tend to be a resolver, so I'll likely just bring it up and ideally not hose up the friendship.

Can't score if you don't shoot the puck. Worst case, things are awkward for a while and then goes back to normal. I've been in the situation before and I cant think of a time where it completely dissolved the friendship.

My complaint for the day, not being able to find anyone to sublet my apartment yet. Really do not want to get stuck with a mortgage and paying rent on a place that is empty.

  5. Heat index of 110 in Nashville today... and my *$&*! air conditioning went down yesterday! Urgh...

My central air in my apartment sucks so bad when it gets over 90 the breaker pops and won't go back on. I'm looking forward to going home to a nice a toasty house tonight for sure.

  6. GET A HOME INSPECTION.

I know that sounds like common sense, but I didn't, and if I had, I would have never bought the house I did. 7 years later, and I'm *still* finding ###### that the previous owner jerry-rigged. My favorites so far is claiming secondary water when in reality he siphoned it off our neighbors for his sprinkling system. That set me back about $1800 to get my own secondary line run to my yard. The other is how our ceiling fan receives its electricity: it's hooked to an extension cord that runs into the carport shed and gets plugged in to a regular outlet. Fan-effing-tastic.

Bottom line: home inspection. Best $300-400 you can spend on buying a house.

Doing that this afternoon. Banks tomorrow then God knows what. I've barely had time to focus on anything else and it's sucking the life out of me.

I know, I know. Once I get the house, it is still gonna suck the life out of me but at least I'll know what I'm doing.

  7. Made the trip to the Sabres game last weekend and my mission was to buy a sabres car flag. It's always a great feeling driving around Toronto with my flag flying proudly. However, I think it's more of a playoff thing so I wanted to wait to put it on my car once I knew we were in for sure. I thought I placed it high enough up that my great dane would not notice it or reach it. I was wrong, it's destroyed! Living out here it's not like I can to go the nearest Target or wherever to pick another one up..... Now I'm left without my flag :(

    FWIW... My link

I still need to get one of these myself. 8" sabres decal

Now for the complaint. I'm with Cheez. FU SNOW!

  8. It's always tempting, but that's way too unprofessional for me. It's pretty much a one man show, so I have to make sure everything from the job is documented so that someone can take my place. Since it's somewhat important stuff (diabetes research), I want to make sure it keeps going.

Strangely enough, I just found out that my brother's starting his new job the same exact day I am. He's thinking of going on some cruise to spend his vacation days but can't find anyone to go with him. It won't work for me unfortunately. Yet another half-assed complaint this week.

Completely understand. I had a "director" of our dept. my bosses boss, that gave me an early Christmas present last year when he told everyone that he was leaving in the middle of January, he announced this at the beginning of December. He then proceeded to take 5 weeks off for vacation and sick time.

I hated the guy so I'm not upset about it but I could never ethically feel like I deserved something like that.

Kudos to you for being better than him. It wouldn't take much but hey, better than nothing.
