Had one thing to finish at work and the network was preventing me from doing any work on it. Now I get to work on it from home tonight since they fixed it about 10 minutes before I left.

Sabres Won (barely) and second day in a row I didn't get called in for Jury Duty. 3 more days of waiting to see if I have to go in or not but at least I made it to the weekend.

So far not too bad here. Wind starting to pick up a bit and the lights are dimming every now and then but still have power. Pretty much just worried about the tree in front of my house since one of the three main limbs hangs over my house (and all the leaves fell off last week :worthy: ). Never had a chance to clean the gutters before the bad weather started so I've got buckets coming out every time there is a good gust leaving a nice pool of standing water in front of my house. Luckily the house is on a bit of a hill and the standing water is right near the drain for where the sump pump is. Kind of expecting the power to go out sometime in the middle of the night since I've heard a bunch of people around Rochester are already powerless.

I really wonder if the designer of that was having an off day when he labeled the facility. Labeling the restrooms "toilets" is a little amateur to me.

Rome is worse than Cowherd by a mile. The guy is obnoxious and spends half his time doing stupid smack talk competitions. The fact that there are people out there who spend their days writing little smack talk essays to read on the phone is one of the saddest things I've ever heard. Not to mention his show could be condensed down to 45 minutes with all the dead air between him repeating himself over and over again. I'd rather listen to that old lady on WGR on saturday mornings.
Oh I agree. I just dislike Cowherd more because it seems like he tries to act like Rome and fails miserably.

I love two hours of Sabres talk daily, I agree with the poster that having Peters as a full time co-host may make it even better. This show is long over due in Buffalo.
We seem to have alot of posters who dislike Cowherd, I'm curious why? His financial security is tied to ratings, ratings are based on the size of his audience, his audience listens because they want to hear what he's saying. He talks about what the majority of the country wants to hear. There are lots of options on both national and local broadcasts for people to listen to, but his affiliates continue to grow.
Just curious why it seems such a large segment of posters on here seem to hate him.
Probably because WGR is the home of the Sabres and Bills and western NY and we don't care about anything else he has to say about the NBA and other sports. Pretty much why I don't listen to Bulldogs hobby show. If I cared about that stuff I would listen. I really don't listen to Jim Rome that much but he is at least all over the board and not just NBA talk 90% of the time.

Anyone catch the interview he had with Kaleta? It's on sabres.com but at the end of the interview he made mention to something that they were working on with MSG for broadcasting in the fall. I'm interested to know who has the inside scope on what this could be?

And a less serious complaint, I gashed my knee open while running two days ago, and it kills. At the bottom of a small dip in the road, just as a car passed me, I tripped on nothing and did a tuck-and-roll, my knee taking the majority of the ground impact. The funny thing was when I bounced back up and kept going like nothing had happened. Whoever passed me in the car was probably having hysterics... :w00t:
They probably thought that they clipped you and just booked it out of there.

You mean you didn't love it when Coward called hockey a "niche" sport that was basically ignored by most of the american sports fans? I would rather trade Pominville for Semin than listen to Cowherd fain interest in Hockey and talk down about it. Cowherd should just discuss football all year because thats all any espn stooge can do.
I usually referred to it as "The Lebron James Show" with other ppl that I know who listen to him.

I've only listened to a little bit of the show but like it so far. But hell, I would prefer dead radio silence over Cowherd.

Oh you are complaining now but wait til it's done. You will hurt for an hour or 2 but once the drugs kick in you will be sleeping like a baby, or protesting your love to a tree.
My complaint, have to work late but life is good otherwise so no point in b1tching about it.

OSP may have controlled the purse strings, but do you believe he ordered Regier to ignore the center position for years on end?
In a way, yes. If I told you the only way you can sign a player is if we are sending the same/or more money out in the trade/FA do you really think you could clear 5-6 mil on cap room for a true #1 center?
And I'm not dubbing Hodgson as a #1 center. I'm using that position as a reference.

As much as I like yesterday's deals, it was Regier's doing that landed us in this mess. D&B have been gone for 5 years, and the center position has been a mess since the day they left....and this includes thinking Leino was the answer when he really wanted no part of the center position, and hanging on to Connolly and Roy year after year waiting for them to make the jump to the next level.
Therefore, Regier should still be fired!
I hear ya but we do see a different DR now than we did back then under OSP.

That may well be a fake account, but I would bet those were his thoughts.
Time will tell which team got the better deal, but I believe Kassian probably feels a lot better than Hodgson, who might be thinking he got sent to Hockey Hell (just guessing).
Even if he might think it is hockey hell I doubt he would be upset about moving closer to home.
