  1. They can do everything they want without trading us nothing for Risto. We're not getting Ehlers. Put down the crack pipe.
  2. Tage being about the same with Sobotka as without might honestly be a testament to Tage. If he has any talent it at least allowed him to avoid being sucked into the Sobotka black hole.
  3. Guys, Risto isn't going to Winnipeg. They might need defense but they have enough cap space that they don't need to unload anyone good to make him fit. If we trade Risto to Winnipeg it's going to be for a terrible return.
  4. I think if he had spent the year in the AHL we wouldn't be talking about him at all. But since he was plugged into this roster, and didn't do anything, there is some angst. I don't know if he'll ever be any good, but you gotta think this is the year he either makes it stick or he doesn't.
  5. Lucic is beyond washed up and anyone who would allow him on this team should be fired into the sun.
  6. Risto into getting choked out by more than just John Scott eh?
  7. I'm just going to quote my post from another thread:
  8. That's not the point of the thread.
  9. Okay, but he's not small. If he fills out he's Sidney Crosby size. No one calls Sid small.
  10. What? Kid is 6' and 190 lbs and just turned 20. He's not small at all.
  11. Guhle never looked as good in NHL action as this kid has...
  12. A look at hockey reference and Sean Tierny's "controlling the blue line" shows some good stuff. I don't know where to find those other charts that are super popular right now.
  13. All of his advanced stats for his NHL time last year look really good... like...better than everyone on the Sabres except Dahlin...
  14. Okay, so maybe this is more interesting that I initially thought. I couldn't imagine anything good coming back for Nylander in a trade, but...
  15. I'm not surprised that Risto and John Scott were in to locker room shenanigans
  16. One of these years I'm going to get on the ice for this thing!
  17. Sure it was. But I think people were willing to overlook it because the General Lee is cool as hell and the show itself is a ton of fun to watch. Plus, African Americans weren't much of a target audience for TV producers so I doubt anyone cared about their opinions much. They tried to acknowledge it in that 2005 movie which sucked outside of Jessica Simpson as eye candy. https://uproxx.com/hitfix/the-screenwriter-of-the-dukes-of-hazzard-movie-on-how-he-tackled-the-confederate-flag-problem/ It's honestly too bad the star car of Dukes of Hazzard was the General Lee, because unfortunately the passage of time has burdened it with something that makes enjoying it a little difficult. Ten years ago I might have made an argument in favor of leaving the General alone, but I couldn't do that now. I think the show, historically, has probably had a diverse fan base which has kept it popular. I doubt that will be the case going forward. There are plenty of hero cars to enjoy if you're a motorhead, and a lot of them are in better movies and tv shows to boot. It is what it is.
  18. 1990 Caprice Classic I think I've mentioned previously that I have the VIN tattooed on my arm.
  19. Welp, second line LW. I'm not a big fan but at least it's a short deal.
  20. I bet it's Ottawa.
  21. According to Twitter fines in Finland are levied according to income. That's brilliant.
