  1. WTF is up with the secret code words on the ticketmaster website. I understand the need to have them, but do you have to make them so difficult to read that you can't even figure out what the letters are?

for example what is that supposed to be on the right?...

I got you beat. Craigslist gave me this gem when I listed my car for sale.

ps. not sure why the image code isn't working for me today, so that's my complaint!

  2. I couldn't find a YouTube link but this site sums up Peter Griffin's final "What Grinds My Gears" segment. WARNING - NSFW.

That's crazy talk. AOL overdoing something? No frigging way. Like when I sign on to my dial-up account while on deadline, and have to wait while 5 different AOL windows open up - because every time I sign on I want to see the channels, my buddy list, my welcome screen and two other things they think I might be interested in....:wallbash:

BTW, if you have more than one Instant Messenger (e.g., Yahoo, MSN, etc.) try Trillian.

I've used Trillian on work computers before, I enjoy it. I'm just so used to the appearance of old style AIM that anything else makes me confused lol It just messes with my head. How am I supposed to talk to people when I'm drunk!

  3. Okay, I have a complaint now. I wiped my computer's hard drive today and clean installed windows. I decided I'd finally upgrade to a new version of AIM after having used old versions forever. All I have to say is, what the hell is this crap? Ugh. It's so....overkill. :wallbash:

  4. I want to complain about the boxing judges. Are they even watching the fights? Seriously! The scoring is so out of whack in some of the bouts that it's ridiculous. You know there's a lot of pissed off boxers out there watching their fight tapes wondering what the hell happened.

  5. Bingo on the reason I'm thinking about moving onto the college level.

There are a few administrative positions that are available for me, but I'd have to move a number of hours away to get one of them. It's a MAJOR decision and I'm taking some time to think about it. My wife says I need to hurry up and make a decision and I agree w/ her 110%.

Yeah, you wanna get out of highschool before you're stuck for the coming year. No sense in suffering any longer.

  6. I have a strong passion for history. I love to study it and discuss it. A number of kids today are hard to reach or inspire. I'm either going to the college level or find a business administration position.

I think you'd be happier with college level, especially at a college with a good history dept. In most colleges if a student is taking history, it's because he or she wants to. You'll still have a few that don't care. But for the most part I think that if you like teaching, you'll enjoy the college level more as far as actually educating the people you talk at.

  7. I wonder if teaching can fall into that category. It's certainly not what I expected it to be. Career change is on the horizon...

I find this interesting, as one of my choices for a career was teaching; which I ruled out. Kinda wondering why you are.

  8. I hate giving work to this guy who works under me because he wastes time all day and comes in an hour and a half late on a regular basis.

I don't know how people can live by coming in that late all the time. I've only been a half an hour or more late maybe 3 or 4 times in the year and a half I've been at my job.

  9. I'm not talking about tailgating because I'm in a hurry. I'm not a tailgater and I hate people who do that to me. There are a lot of hills around here, and when the weather is good, probably 99% of the people drive the same way down them - coasting most of the way, and tapping the brakes occasionally to keep the speed from getting out of control. So when grandma starts riding her brakes all the way down the hill, it forces everyone to do the same thing - so not only am I concerned with rear-ending her, but someone behind me not paying attention and blasting me.

Here's a hint - when you hover your pointer over underlined text and the pointer doesn't change from the arrow to the finger, that means it's probably not a link. ;)

Yeah, but how about when people brake while going uphill? :wallbash:

  10. I kinda think the last one was more important. We blew it. All we're electing now is a Janitor.

And not even a good one. McCain is too old to know how to operate all the new fancy Janitorial equipment, and Obama has no idea how to even take out the trash.

See, we should have gone with Hillary. She probably has a pair of rubber gloves and a sponge at least.

  11. Dude, perfect timing for this thread. I would like to say piss off to all these crazy razors out there that promise "a closer shave". FU. I just shaved with a crappy disposable from Wegmans and it gave me the closest shave I've had in 6 years. :censored:
