Did anyone else think the douchebag with the guns in the garage was the actor who played Marco Belchior in Goon? (It wasn't.) Speaking of the garage, is that where Walt places a bomb under Gus Fring's car?

I say "thanks for nothing." If players want to "screw" the team by costing them 30th out of spite, then that's a real slap in the face to the fans that have come out and cheered them for the last two miserable years. I'll say it again, if they are so full of pride then why not play like it earlier? When the Sabres went on their midseason tear I was ready to root for the playoffs. But now with 6 games to go, what are they proving by winning meaningless games? That they want to stick it to the man?
It's possible this is the first time I've ever agreed with you. But I think we're both proceeding on shaky ground. The tipping point for me is Vogl's report that players were "dancing" in the lockerroom. That does smell of spite, but who knows for sure? As usual, no one plainly speaks the truth any more in the media. I really don't want players' motivating factor to be tweaking the fan base. Your question as to where this enthusiasm was all season is a valid one.
It's all so bewildering. Why aren't more players fully on board the tank at this point in the season? It's in their interest, too, for the Sabres to add a generational talent. There's money at play here, for lots of guys.

Does he dye the beard or gray the hair? Enquiring minds want to know!

That was pretty crushing to see Jimmy's reaction to Chuck telling him what he really thinks.
It's starting to come into focus. Why Jimmy McGill will become Saul Goodman.
Yep. I thought it would be one moment that turns him, but it's going to be more of a drip drip drip, I think. He'll get that money from Hamlin — ironically about the same amount he had gotten from the Kettlemans — and this time he'll be able to use it to start his pratice, minus Kim and any redeeming value, it looks like. The nexus with Tuco and Gus is clearly there. Mike's about to really go over to the dark side as well. It's kind of sad. I think we've come to really like or even love these characters, Jimmy and Mike.

I remember having a Sabres game (any game) on local TV in the early 70's was must see TV.
A real treat was getting a Sabres-Leafs game from the Aud on CHCH.

He was let go after it was apparent what he'd put together was unwatchable. You're scenario only works if he'd've left that summer (or earlier).
According to this logic, GMTM better prepare to become merely TM again.

Darcy isn't here to rebuild because he couldn't be trusted to do it. I for one couldn't stomach another year with him making player decisions for the long term... not after the house of cards came down when Lucic ran over Miller and the world found out what kind of a spineless team he had created. The only thing I agreed with Darcy on was the need to blow the thing up (and accept the "suffering" that goes with it)... as long as he wasn't the one putting Humpty Dumpty back together again.
But why did he last into the 13-14 season then?
Are you absolving him?
Of tanking, going to the very bottom and then some, for two years? Yes, I don't think Darcy would be a part of that. If it became apparent to him in the fall of 2013 that's what was being asked of him, I can see him coming to an agreement with Terry to be let go.
-
I expect that you couldn't be more wrong about that statement. 2-1/2 years is WAAAAY too long, but is what we were thrust into when DR decided there would be "suffering." Trying for 3.5 would be catastrophically bad.
Are you blaming Darcy for this? Terry has a flat management structure he loves and he put two Pittsburgh tankers in his management team. I won't make this about meddling; but this was Terry's decision to make, no? Or at least to approve? Darcy himself made this claim on WGR Radio toward the end of the 2012-13 season. "The extent of the rebuild will be up to the owner." I guess I don't understand why Darcy isn't here to finish the job, if it was his idea. What was he doing wrong in the fall of 2013?

Ah, and revved up by the deuce of having that second pick.
So it's,
Blinded by the Garth, revved up with the deuce...
Revved? Not wrapped? Like a douche?

Only roughly four hours to game time.

This episode came close to jumping the shark. How many impossible situations can main characters escape from, even on The Walking Dead?

CTM, I like the sentiment. But if few fans showed up, it might have the opposite effect of showing appreciation. It wouldn't be unprecedented, as there was some kind of rally for Ted Nolan after the 1996-97 season.
The fans in the arena will certainly have their chance to show their appreciation once the team clinches last.
You are spot on with what you are saying.

Love this idea.
It is good. I had to think about it for a minute. I first took it as any part of the blade has to stay on the ice, then I re-read it — the entire blade. Taro, why not send the idea to the league? Maybe no one's ever thought of it this way.

I'm back to thinking that GM TM is too savvy just to be blabbing without a purpose, or without some design on (or at least awareness of) a long game.
The quotes about McDavid come off as a little odd, but . . . so be it.
That's right. Come on, boy. Come on. No, don't be shy. That's it, that's it...
-
Actually... here's what he meant. He is admitting that he has overrated McDavid. He thinks too much (of) him. He has seen so much of McDavid that he now understands the fatal flaws in his game, and he wishes he, himself, could help — to coach him, mentor him, even train with him if he weren't a middle-aged, pot-bellied, Filet o Fish inhaler.

I'll tell you, but I need to know why it's bab.

It's a ruse. He wants Eichel — he sculpts mashed potatoes into the face of Eichel — and with some senstational, well-placed comments he's raising the price of prying the first pick out of his starchy little fingers. What better way to get the word out to his fellow hockey GMs than in the New York Fricken Times?

The Sabres still face Toronto (checked out), Islanders (not playing well), Blackhawks (trap game for them?), Carolina (not great), Blue Jackets (hot lately, but not great for the season) and the Peguins (will they be playing for anything or looking forward to the first round?) Arizona's opponents are a little tougher: Sharks (home-and-home), Flames, Canucks and Ducks.
Team from Pittsburgh comes into town on the last day of the season and lies down for us? Nah...

It didn't. I was just funnin'.
It's all good, man.

Excoozy, excoozy. This Yuri, old friend of Anna A. She has how you say lady problems. You know how Russian womens get bushy in the arm holes, you say pit in U.S.A no? Well Anna, she is new here so she not know about Lady Bic. She use the weed wacker left in car port. She in ER but ask me to pose, honorably and respectively, this question:
If behaviour of fans in arena, so boorish she think, is meant to be sign of passionate fans and applauded here in SabresSpace, then how is poster here being "passionate" lustful she try to say, be, she learned this word from Urban Dictionary, "bitch slap"?
Anna wait for reply as she wait for plastic surgeon. Thanks you Obamacare for 10 hours wait in ER and giggles of barbie doll nurses.

Absolutely incredible update on Gordie Howe's recovery:

Not counting Lou/MacT who are in that position mainly due to their recent incompetence and refusal to actually hire somebody.
You're killing us here!

It is not an admission of guilt and any improvements to helmet design would be precluded from evidence as a subsequent remedial measure.
Oh yeah? I remember this time on the People's Court...

The black guy from the pilot and the apartment is still lurking out there too, presumably. Remember he found the note in the church and knew they were heading to Washington.
