  1. They simply don't care about easy and painless.  They fervently believe it is their role in the world to bring on an apocalypse that will lead to a worldwide caliphate.  It has nothing to do with live and let live.

The problem in dealing with them is we project that they are just like us. They're not.  Their worldview has decidedly different underpinnings.

Most rational people understand they are not like us - fundamentally & profoundly.

    • 1) Pysyk: always seems to be in the right position and appears to make all the right decisions
    • 2) Eichel: did not know what to expect and his strength/top line speed are nonpareil. Seems like he was born with a hockey gene
    • 3) The Sabres passing overall; remember last year when they could execute a 6 foot pass ?

I am already nominating Byslma for coach of the year - no joke

  2. When I'm at these games, I can't believe Eichel and the moves he has. I really can't believe he is on our team

this is precisely my mindset in wanting to attend the San Jose game next Sat. I am coming up to NJ for a business trip Thurs and surprising my parents for a weekend visit. I want to to check out the new development downtown and catch the game with Jack as my primary draw.

I am in need of a single ticket, so please PM should anyone need to get rid of one.

    Thanks all

  3. Has any of the local media asked RJ about it? Is it a portmanteau of yikes and Eichel? I thought it was a mistake the first time too, but now it's obvious that it's on purpose.

I agree with your premise = plus I give you props for use of the word "portmanteau" in your post which you have parlayed particularly properly ......

I would have agreed with this...before Yeichel came into existence. To me is so unbelievably bad that not even RJ gets a pass for it. Eichel should be our best forward since LaFontaine, and "well RJ is RJ" doesn't cut it here.

I think the LaFontaine goal call was my personal fave

  4. What you call soft goals I call defensive lapses. Being a goalie myself, I tend to be more sympathetic. Johnson's largest issue, IMO, is rebound control. But the Sabres D doesn't help much.

I agree to a point on the rebound control; that's what caused the pens 3rd goal. However, in the Philly game he let in an unscreened wrister which tipped the top of his glove. That's a must-save, IMO
