  1. "An email account she screwed up on?"....geesh, that's being just slightly generous
  2. When the conversation involves a reference to a #### sandwich, it becomes devoid of any logic/reason. And I had to explain an example like this last night to my 85 year old Dad who has early stage dementia and can't remember what happened 5 minutes ago. He has no idea how politically polarized and poisoned we are. It's comments like this which, again, do nothing to advance the discussion.
  3. Sorry, not following the non sequitur...
  4. I sure am and damn proud of it. God blessed me with great genes.....))
  5. that's half the problem of this Board, specifically this topic. Cherry pick 4 or 5 opinions/statements in line with your ideology, then tell the other guys how much you love them.
  6. per the bolded, haha, I get it....)) per the strike-through, it's so easy to substitute HRC, a caveman could do it
  7. with all due respect, opinions like these with no supporting ammo do not advance the conversation. Yes the next 3 months are going to be a war of attrition and perhaps a race to the bottom. We would need several pages to cite the negatives of both candidates.
  8. To my erudite friend: that'd be Molson Canadian for me, and I WILL find you one of these days....))
  9. Sorry for all the delay in getting back to those who have asked me about my Dad's situation. I will respond in full. I just arrived @ BUFFALO-NIAGARA INTL AIRPORT for my sister's wedding tonight. I am planning on hitting d-town @ Harborfront tomorrow - anyone interested/available in a meet-up? Hit me here or PM me....))
  10. as I alluded to earlier with the reporting by FNC.....surprise surprise
  11. I like this as a fair and balanced statement (no pun intended). I was, by the way, flipping channels and saw a 2 minute snippet of FNC heaping praise on Obama for a well-delivered speech, and was commenting on the monumental event of having the first woman running for Prez. Believe it or not, you do have the honest, objective types on Fox in addition to the partisan flamethrowers.
  12. That is freaking funny - it's too bad we don't have a viable system for a legit 3rd party candidate so Donald & Hills could blow each other up ....
  13. they don't feel or taste good coming in, going down, or coming out
  14. I would be interested in seeing any links to hard data on this statement - I am sincerely curious. When discussing military contractors, it is helpful to describe them as part of the military/industrial complex - which has been rife with no-bid contacts awarded by the Pentagon; so, yes, the Fed is complicit in this waste, fraud, & abuse as per the military contractors https://www.publicintegrity.org/2011/08/29/5989/windfalls-war-pentagons-no-bid-contracts-triple-10-years-war http://www.ibtimes.com/winner-most-iraq-war-contracts-kbr-395-billion-decade-1135905 https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/economy/no-bid-us-government-contracts-jump-9-percent-despite-push-for-competition/2013/03/17/9f6708fc-8da0-11e2-b63f-f53fb9f2fcb4_story.html
  15. Sorry We've to hear of your experience, are you referring to the discomfort a la the prison rape variety?....((
  16. Thanks, my brother is an attorney specializing in medical malpractice defense, so we are all over it.
  17. Yes he is with a secondary policy, and I can assure you ours was not a bogus claim; it was a terrible overall experience but I can understand the reality of bogus claims. And I'm sorry for not picking up on your earlier joke/sarcasm.
  18. I am totally capable; why not consider the value of using some emoticons or SOME context that you are joking -- after last night's heavyweight match w/ you, I thought we had kissed and made up.... :flirt: I am afraid of nothing; would actual family experience I've had suffice for you ?
  19. ummm, that's what I was implying = current state is denial of coverage based on age
  20. I'll be glad to research and provide a link
  21. Keep beating that drum K-9, it makes you look small to keep harping on it......just saying
  22. You can LMAO all you want K-9. I would argue that yes it was done before but it far worse now with the ACA. I don't want some Federal knucklehead telling my Dad he can't have a legitimate procedure done solely based on his age and expected remaining years of life as determine by our almighty, overarching, over bloated, intrusive Federal Kommissary....!!!
  23. If you are not aware that the ACA has bunch of actuaries & bureaucrats measuring the viability of approving a TKR for a 79 yr old patient, you need to read up. These decisions are being made way outside the boundaries of the doctor/patient relationship and can grossly impact the remaining quality of life of seniors should be granted. Or is it only the poor & uninsured we should be concerned about?
  24. no, my costs are up 37% and doctors are retiring left and right. Office practices are now strictly enforcing a 15 minute grace period for being late, as they have to see more patients to be reimbursed less $$. Increased patient volumes are the only way they stay afloat, and the quality of care and intimate patient/doctor relationship has been shot to hell. Great plan, that Obamacare .....
  25. Au contraire, mon frère...you are being just a bit melodramatic. Your description of the doomsday alternative is a common D opinion put forth. Many good alternatives being offered via a market-driven, patient-centric model which is the antithesis of Obamacare - and provide provisions for the underinsured/uninsured These links are from my Congressman, who is an MD (orthopedic surgeon) and a former customer of mine from my days in the OR: https://tomprice.house.gov/press-release/price-introduces-patient-centered-health-care-solutions http://www.nationalreview.com/article/418565/tom-prices-new-conservative-obamacare-alternative-just-what-dr-ordered-jeffrey-h http://opportunitylives.com/solution/price-introduces-patient-centered-health-care-solutions/
