    My complaint for the week is having to be out of town on work the week before christmas. I fly home tonight and really hope i don't get stuck somewhere and not make it home. The worst part is that the company I was going on site to audit didn't have any staff this week since, you guessed it, they were all on christmas vacation. Even though we had contacted them two weeks ago making sure that they would be staffed enough to complete the exam requirements. Waste of my time. :thumbdown:

    As Dwight said, don't take it personally. IMO, your position constitutes sitting on the fence, which to me is a sign of apathy. That's just my opinion and is likely fueled by frustration. Frustrated that here we are in 2011 going into 2012 with yet another billionaire owner who is supposedly willing to spend money, yet here we are with the same exact quality of product on the ice as if the ownership change never happened.

    You think it's the same? I think it is much worse. In years past we could at least score with the rest of the teams in the league while wearing our prada purses on the ice - this year we are soft and ineffective

    First time back to the board in a few days and this bad boy of a thread has blown the f*** up. Gotta say I kind of saw that comin'

     

    I have long stated on this board that I do not want to watch any player that doesn't play with an edge, willing to play for his teammates and give an honest effort every night. I believe you know where I stand on the Stafford/Roy debate.

    I actually said out loud "what are you doing there Mag; who are you covering?!"

    I'm glad someone else caught that...

     

    I rewound it about three times so that everyone I was watching the game with could understand why I was yelling. My father was under the impression that the goal was a weak one by Miller until I reiterated how much time and space MAG's gave one of the top 10 players in the league by skating 5 feet from the sideboards :doh:

    Stafford's contract should be another nail in Regier's coffin.

    Yet the insanity continues.

     

    Watching the Pitt game last night I found myself actually yelling at the t.v. at both MAG's for his terrible positioning on a 3v2 rush (he played the entire rush outside the left dot, while Malkin skated right up the middle and scored in the slot) and Stafford for his disinterested play the entire game. I hate playing the 'change must happen now' card, cause we see that far too often here as a knee jerk reaction to a bad game, but this has been going on for a long time.

    There are definitely more hated Sabres than Drew. For example: Miro Satan or Tim Connolly were definitely more hated than Drew is now. Even Roy is more of a whipping boy than Drew. IMO.

    Agreed.

     

    Although right now, in order of dislike, my list goes:

     

    Roy

    MAG

    Stafford

    Ellis (not that he doesn't try, he should just try in the AHL ;) )

    made 12 bottle of procion dye last night. all different colors. making another 10 tonight. again, all different colors. our christmas gifts this year are going to be of the tie-dye variety: t-shirts, socks, sweat pants (if i can find some that are 100% cotton), medical scrubs for my mother in law, aprons, dresses for my girls ... yah--we're stoked. for one group of friends who live out here, we're making blue and gold tie-dye shirts and then getting some iron-on sabres logos. these things are going to be wicked awesome.

     

    deck the halls, y'all. 'tis the season. :)

    Not normally a fan of tye dye stuff, but if done correctly, this could turn out pretty sweet. Make sure you get the right color shades B-)

    52" LED 3D, with the package that sends all your watching habits and a live video feed to the FBI, CIA, NASA, and your mother.

    So you're saying I have to downgrade to a 52"? :unsure: And 3D tv's are for hipsters. I don't see the point...

    My complaint for the week is why am I only limited to two pickups per week in the SabreSpace Gold league? I took over one of the inactive teams and I have to play with injured/open spots in my lineup until next week cause I can only make two moves.

     

    It's gonna take a long time to rebuild if I only get two moves a week... :angry:

    The other day, I got into a conversation about the first movie we had seen in a movie theatre as a child, and I thought mine was The Jungle Book. Regardless, some sweet tunes came outta this classic:

     

     

    Bonus:

    Bare necessities was the s#$%. When I was a kid I would jam to that all day.

    I have been traveling for work for what equates to every week since the beginning of August. I know it's part of the job description but usually I get a week or so local to ease the burden a little bit. I'm just getting frustrated with not being able to see my friends and family in Buffalo since I'm gone all the time. Just mentioned it to my boss so hopefully that helps a little.

     

    Not many people complain that they don't get to spend all their time in Buffalo... ;)

    Not sure, it's something the g/f is arranging. I've been out of town all week and am coming home this afternoon so I don't have all the details. It's supposedly a halloween bar crawl on chippewa - tickets to get drinks at the locations on the strip.

     

    And yes, it does sound like a great way to spend a friday night :beer:

    Creston Iowa. Show up for my reservations in this crappy hotel in the middle of nowhere and they don't have my reservation on file (even though I have a copy in my hand). Told me they were full and I had to drive down the country road to the Super 8.

     

    If you've ever stayed in the middle of nowhere at a Super 8 you would understand my complaint :sick:

    Best of luck to both of you two on your family health issues.

     

    Kinda puts all the petty complaints in perspective when there are complaints like those in here. I'd feel pretty silly complaining about work and such now :unsure:
