Thats complete ###### and is one of things that bothers me with you. The sabres have spent the last what 2 or 3 drafts targeting big gritty players. That kinda shows they are not avoiding players like that. They just aren't morgaging the farm to trade for nor FA contract one. Darcy obiviously beleives the way to get skilled big players is to draft them. The Roy +2 thing is such incredible BS that I am shocked you keep banging that drum. Everything I have seen/read about Cody is nothing like Roy. The only thing they seem to have in common is your insistance to proclaim Cody Roy +2. Forgive me if I am incorrect in this as it has been 12 or 18 months since this discussion. But weren't you one of the people that proclaimed you need to have quality center depth to win the stanly cup? This was a move to give us center depth. I am sure if Darcy had his wish he woulda gave them some of our Defenseman depth but I feel fairly confident that the only thing that Vancouver wanted was a big young forward that they could put in there bottom 6 this year

I agree that the sabres have to many forwards that don't hit and to few that do. But it is easly fixed by taking 1 of the top 6 and replacing them with a gritty player.

I can't speak for others but something I would hypotheticaly like to see happen is Ruff fired, Darcy fired, the team completely gutted, made into the modern day broad street bullies and then read your posts about how the new GM sucks, the new coach sucks, and the new players suck or however else you might spin the events negativly. as you said this is about ennis playing center. So i think it's relevent to talk about who might center the 3rd line if ennis is moved back to wing for a bit. Well others here claim that Gerbe can do nothing but play a small man's game due to his size and other then a really really out of charactor preseason suspension I dont count Boyes as a checking line type guy. If my 3rd line is Gerbe/Adam/Boyes I tell em pressure the other team and setup scoring chances

except that the biggest problem with Adams game this year has not been offense but his defense........... I fail to see how that would be a great 3rd line. So you can either make it a 3rd scoring line or a defensively suspect 3rd line

You do realize that with the players we have that we really cant field a checking/shutdown line. We are most likely going 3 scoring lines for the rest of the season.

As far as the 12-13 roster. I am ok with going into the season with say Hodgson and ennis centering the top two lines (unless Hodgson really tanks for rest of season) as for the 3rd line If Adam can find his game and improve defensivly great if not I hope they find a bargain 3rd line center for a season or 2. Obiviously this is with the idea that Roy gets traded On the wings I hope to see Staff traded and for us to sign and/or trade for a hard hitting winger that can play on the 2nd line (absolutly no idea who if any players going FA fit that description) for the 3rd line wings I would like to see Foligno challenge and unseat Kaleta for that spot. I think Foligno and Gerbe could work good on a line. If not I am ok with it being Gerbe and Kaleta with whatever center we get. For the fourth line I would like to see Cody with Kaleta and a hard skating player (possibly Tropp?) to help forcheck and make a 4th line that can actually play some hockey. Foligno could easly be in Kaleta's spot on this line thou. I'm ok with the defense as is minus Leopold. I think McNabb is ready to be a regular NHLer. Depending on how this Sulzer works out as a spare defensemen maybe find a servicable 6/7th defensemen in FA

*shrug* it was a worthy hockey movie for me. I like that it was clearly cheaply made and a independent movie. Also I liked the vulger lines used as it really reminded me of playing hockey as a teenager. Was it a hockey film? No. It was simply a hockey movie, and yes there is a difference to me in a film versus a movie

That line is completely untrue. Theo Fluery, Pat Verbeek, Donald Audette, Danny Briere, even Mike Peca falls into the shortish lightweight category. I wouldn't say any of them played a lightweight game.

I don't think it matters how many short lightweights you have on the team. Whats more important is how many people you have that play a lightweight game (little/no hitting, weak on boards, easy to knock over/off the puck). It's like anything else you can only support so many of a certain play style and the sabres have to many like that atm

Beleive it or not smartass Ennis did play hockey before he got injured. So it would make sense to assume he was talking about when Ennis was in the lineup on the wing as opposed to him talking about when ennis was out injured.. Please be less of a dick
