Snow begins falling in the early morning hours, and the temperature plummets from the mid 20s to below zero. By afternoon, the wind is gusting at an average of 46 miles an hour. The Blizzard of '77 is on. Will the Sabres make it to Montreal for a game the next day?

Martin Biron makes 21 saves to record his fifth shutout of the season and second against Ottawa in a 1-0 win at home over the Senators. James Patrick scores the game's only goal. Dominik Hasek is still out with a groin injury.

Ooh, ooh, ooh. My money says a bit more than 1/2 of them do, but the "Voice of the Sabres" doesn't. I also believe that for a guy who couldn't (or wouldn't) pronounce sked-u-ule, he was a resourceful mo-fo. (Although, I honestly believe he would and did pronounce skool correctly.)
