Bob Sweeney scores 2:23 into overtime to give the Sabres a 4-3 overtime win over the Flyers in the Spectrum. It's the second overtime goal of the season for the big center who was acquired just before the regular season on waivers from Boston. Sweeney was a nice surprise for the Sabres in 92-93, scoring 21 goals and adding 27 assists. He scored four shorthanded goals, three power play goals and three game-winning goals. It would not be the last overtime goal of the year for Sweeney. Do you remember?

Were three of the games in that playoff series ended in overtime? I remember in the following series against MTL that every game was 4-3.

Sweeney, Khymylev, and May. I loved Jeanneret screaming "DAAAAAALE HAWERCHUK. DAAAAALE HAWERCHUK!!" when it was Khymylev who actually scored.
